I have six of these clamps and unless they are different from these clamps on Amazon, they are super. No, I wouldn't use them to press out a ball-joint or other abusive task - but for clamping a few pieces of material together while I weld or layout parts, I find these to be quality clamps. Like I said, I'm sure they can be broken but out clamps are years old at this point and no problems. Came here looking for a few more to add to my shop tools at home.

In my opinion - unless you buy a clamp with a hex head end for a socket or wrench at the end of the threaded handle, the clamp is not meant for abusive use. Nor would a clamp like this be useful with a cheater bar (no matter how small) on the T-handle end. A user would certainly wreck the clamp. This clamp will stand up to any forces you can create with your fingers on the T-handle.

A great big heavy duty looking and heavy feeling waste of metal. This thing has let me down so many times when I really needed it that it is amazing that I haven't thrown it away. It might be ok for wood working but don't waste your time trying it on metal at all. It bent the first time I used it to where the swivel would not mate with the base. Then the swivel foot fell off. Put it in a vise to straighten it and bent it by hand way past the straight point. By this time realized it was junk and couldn't find receipt from the local big box hardware store HD or L
I keep forgetting how sorry it is until it failed me again last night. That's when I looked it up here to let other know so that they do not waste their money like I did.
I plan to buy a strong hand brand because I have used them and they do not bend like this junk does.
