I live in an apartment and have had problems with roaches. I bought stuff at the dollar store and nothing ever worked. I got Combat and *poof* they're dead. This is a quality product that will destroy your roach problem. I sound like a commercial for them, but it's true. Look at other Combat products and see their reviews. This stuff is a miracle. I recommend it 100%. This or their gel is like a Nuclear Bomb for roaches. The gel stains though, so I like these a bit better. Amazing!!!

I read the previous review and notice I had a very similar experience. I too live in an apartment, and every so often I would find roaches in the apartment. It really bugged me because I dont cook, nor have any food around. Because of work I am usually never home and he only thing in my frige are cans of soda. I did notice that my neighbor below is handicapped and a s result does not have the tidiest apartment and hence they may be sneaking up to my place. I went to the dollar store and purchase their item but it did not work, it seemed to have lured more. After that I decided to wage war and purchase combat. I got three boxes of these and loaded the bottom of the stove, the fridge with them and the bathroom. Within the week I have not seen a roach.

Dude. We did everything to get rid of roaches. We put all food in the fridge, we stayed on top of dishes, we busted our but sterilizing and nothing worked. Then I bought this and it's been incredible. We put the traps out and within two days we stopped seeing all forms of the little bugs. It was magical. We've had them out for at least 6 months and we haven't seen one hint of a bug. I'm thrilled. I hate roaches, and living in downtown Houston, they're just...part of living in downtown Houston. Now we are 100% roach free, except for one tree roach who weaseled his way in, but that was a rogue incident. :)

Moved into a townhouse out here in hi and discovered roaches (no surprise). Professional exterminator sprayed and the roaches marched on. Placed these bad boys all over the house and the roaches started showing up dead, until they finally disappeared. Thank goodness!

I recently moved into this cute but crowded house, where I share a bedroom in addition to a multitude of other renters in other parts of the house. Despite having little space and no privacy, I was ok with the arrangement because the rent is cheap, and the house is pretty nice. My amusement was short-lived, however, when I encountered a roach in the bathroom sink my first night there. Uh... ok, this seems to be a common problem in this area, so I was used to occasionally seeing a roach. Occasionally. One. In an apartment building, I think this is unavoidable.

I had actually bought these baits for my last apartment after reading many horror stories about apartments in the area. I never thought much of them though... I was disappointed that I would occasionally see a roach. Turns out this stuff was probably stemming the tide. After encountering that one in the bathroom the first night, I went down to the kitchen the second night to microwave some food for dinner. I turned on the light, and the counter was moving. Literally hundreds... if not thousands. I am not exaggerating. All sizes... everywhere. I'm afraid to go downstairs at night now. After this, I would occasionally notice one or two wandering my room, staring me down by my computer, etc... so I bought this bait again, and put some down in my room. Note: the individual traps are hard to break apart. Use scissors or a knife. As I didn't have one available at the moment, I put a whole sheet under my desk, and left for a 5-day weekend. I returned 4 days ago and have not seen a single roach in my bedroom since.

Then came the next test. The bathroom. By this point, I had realized that there was not just one occasional one in the sink, that was just the big one. The night I came home from my trip, I saw about a dozen of varying sizes. I cut out two individual baits and put one behind the sink and one behind the trashcan. Have not seen one in there since.

Now to tackle the kitchen...

Been over three days and the little guy is still kicking. Walked around, in it, ontop, it's like his little home. Not quite the Sweeney Todd affect I was hoping for. First one star review :/

I moved in to my apartment about 2 months ago and I had guests that were not invited (they're not paying rent but if they could I wouldn't had bought this). They were present in the kitchen, while I was in the living room, and my bedroom. One night I came to the kitchen to get some water, and to my surprise I saw a few of these little critters and I told them to leave or I was going to get Combat ready for them. They did not leave, but I am a man of my words so the next day, when I went to check, I saw them chilling there, like they were not afraid. I took action and jumped on Amazon to get the gear I needed to Combat them and kill them all. Just a few nights after setting them in strategic places around the perimeter of my area of responsibility (AOR) I started to see the results of my strategy. I kept finding them dead and I can say I am happy with the results. You won't be disappointed.

I don't have a large infestation compared to other reviewers, would see a few roaches per night so I wanted to nab the problem before it got larger. I laid out all the packets in the 2 areas where we've spotted the pests and we still see them occasionally - it's been several weeks so I would expect our small problem to be solved. We have seen a couple of dead bugs and know that we can't expect to see them all, but I feel by now having used all the packets we shouldn't see any esp in the same room/place as the packets. I now bought another brand and will use these "hotels" to place the new gel that I hope will take care of our problem. Never had roaches before and certainly don't want them multiplying!
