I'm so glad I brought that senor

Last week I had a new gas dryer installed. I kept thinking that I could smell gas, but was not sure if I was just being paranoid. So I purchased this detector and placed it by the dryer. I was woken up last night to the voice alarm. I shut the gas off and this morning I checked for a leak. There was a leak. I'm so glad I brought that senor. It works.

A solid gas detector - plug in, wait for self-test (3 minutes). Then it sits there detecting stove gas and alerts you loudly. Be aware that other 'gaseous emissions' - say from a pet or the sink drain can cause false positives / alarms. But these are rare. Has standard US AC plug, unlike other units which shipped with an adapter. About 4.5" square, and does stick out from the wall about 2". Nice clean look.

Product lifespan is ridiculously short! Purchased 11/15/16. Liked the design in terms of size, alarm, verbal prompts and warning, and PPM display. Worked fine until 6/15/17 when it began false alarming with 3500 PPM on display. Gas company called: 0% gas detected while it was in alarm. Never jostled, exposed to sprays, steam, or any other "don'ts". Prior detector lasted years before losing its mind, but no longer available. --G.

Nice and compact propane detector, easy to use just plug it in your socket. I placed across from my gas stove. I spray Lysol in my home, and the fumes from the Lysol triggers the alarm, it's very sensitive and that's what you want when you have a propane tank!
