Written by and starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams of Little Britain fame, the comedy duo play almost 50 characters between them in this eagerly anticipated return to television with a hilarious mockumentary series set in an airport terminal. From flight crew to check-in, from paparazzi to passengers, and from catering staff to immigration, Matt Lucas and David Walliams take a side-splitting view of Britain's busiest airport and the people who work in and pass through it every day. Characters include scandal-prone charmer Omar Baba, the owner of FlyLo, Britain's eighth favorite low cost airline, Taaj, who is more interested in whether the documentary crew are filming in 3D than he is in doing the job, the perky check-in staff Melody and Keeley, Precious Little – a jolly, busty West Indian lady who works at the coffee kiosk, Ian Foot – the patriotic Chief Immigration Officer, whose keen eye for illegal foreigners is only tempered by his lack of geographical knowledge – "There's no such country as Liberia" – and more!]]>

I never intended on watching all 6 episodes in one night but that is exactly what I did. I just couldn't stop watching.
I think David Walliams and Matt Lucas are extremely talented in how they are able to portray so many different characters. I know they've also done the same in Little Britain (another one of my fave shows), but that is what makes them and their work so special.
Each episode of Come Fly With Me is about 25 minutes long and throughout the six episodes, you get to see the same characters. The situations are so unrealistic that it's really funny.
I appreciated some characters more than others (such as the photographers and the married couple--their story line got a bit stale after a while), but this is still a very, very funny show.
Since watching all 6 episodes, I found myself returning to bits of certain episodes whenever I am feeling blah or had a rough day. It is a charming pick me up.
I highly recommend it and look forward to Season 2.
Among the primary characters that recur within the six brief episodes, there is a good cross section of the airport scene. From apathetic baggage handlers, to rival ticket girls, to a married pilot team, to a self-serving guest relations specialist, to an ambitious flight attendant, to a couple of frequent passengers, to paparazzi--Lucas and Walliams perfect a variety of nutjobs and pander to every cliche and stereotype imaginable. Having worked in an airport environment for a number of years, I'd like to say that the satire is wildly exaggerated--but certain stereotypes exist for a reason! Not every character was as interesting as every other, but it's a matter of taste.Read more ›
If you're a fan of shows like Little Britain and Summer Heights High it ill more than likely appeal to you.
Set in a fictional airline company doing anything to cut cost, the show follows the daily activities that happen to the employees and the customers. Sad thing is, it reminds me too much of my discount flying experiences so I feel close to the craziness that ensues.
Fans of the Vicar of Dibley, Little Britian, and Miranda will love this.

I thought it was awesome that I was getting this show as a gift for someone special. I thought the price was semi fair for only 6 episodes if it was new. Read morePublished 3 months ago by SweetPea83
