"We've all messed up, made terrible choices, and ended up in places we never thought we'd be. Thankfully, Louie Giglio has written an amazing book that empowers us to push through our mistakes to a new life beyond. In his new book, The Comeback, Louie will inspire you to believe that no matter what you've done, with God's help, you can come back to the place God wants you."
Lead Pastor, Life.Church
Author of #Struggles
"The Comeback is a must read book for every single one of us. Why? The truth is that we all fail. The greater truth is that no single failure ever defines us. This is the absolutely essential, universal, and biblical message of The Comeback. Thank you, Louie Giglio, for reminding us again - so clearly and compellingly - that God is not yet done with us."
Founder, One Day's Wages
Author of Overrated: Are We More in Love With the Idea of Changing the World Than Actually Changing the World?
"Can we speak about the tragedies of life without falling into despair? Can we talk about true hope without lapsing into sentimentality? Louie has managed to do both in this book. It has the grit of real life and the scent of heaven. Without minimizing the pain of our losses, this book calls us to hope in a God who reigns over our circumstances. We are never too far gone."
Executive Director, Breakaway Ministries
"The Comeback helps us realize that some of life's darkest places are actually designed to move us into God's perfect plan. Louie does a fantastic job of describing the comeback that God has for everyone."
Senior Pastor, Free Chapel
"We all love the story of a comeback in someone else's life; the person who has headed the wrong direction but by the grace of God is forever changed for the good. But we have problems showing ourselves the same grace when we need a comeback. Instead self-criticism reigns. The truth is we all have moments when we need to come back to the provision of our loving God. Louie does a tremendous job highlighting the power of God and our need for a comeback no matter how far we are from the plan of God. This is a read for all of us in need of encouragement and inspiration to live the life God has called us to. Read these pages and start your comeback!"
Pastor, Houston's First Baptist Church

"In The Comeback my friend Louie Giglio encourages us to remember just how much God loves
underdogs. No matter the painful circumstances or depths of your loss, this book will speak to you
with a wellspring of real hope. This book is an instant classic!"
Church of the Highlands
Author of Fresh Air and Four Cups
"This is a book about hope and the invitation God gives us to rise above every obstacle. But it is not a book about the power of positive thinking. It is about the power that produces positive thinking--Jesus' victory over sin and death, which gives forgiveness for every sin, healing for every hurt, and life through every grave. These pages, like all of Louie's messages, will move you to reflect, teach you to believe, and inspire you to worship."

"Any discussion of a comeback catches my attention. Any teaching by Louie Giglio touches my heart. To see the word comeback on the cover of a book by Louie Giglio is a wonderful combination. This book will encourage all of us who daily depend on God's grace and mercy."

Update: July 2018
I have personally experienced redemption, grace, & a miracle that Louie Giglio writes about in his book The Comeback. In Dec 2015, I was given a devastating end of life diagnosis with no effective treatment or cure. We had flown thousands of miles and sought the best medical advice. My immune system and body was shutting down and we were told to prepare and "make the most" of the time I had left. I didn't even know how to tell my 8 year old son how much I longed to see his 9th birthday. This book & scripture gave me hope in the face of death. As I started writing letters and making videos for my son to have in the years to come, God told me to STOP! I reread The Comeback & Jeremiah 33. God wasn't finished with me yet! I never went through any treatment or had a "medical cure". Well, over 2 years later, I am getting healthier, my body is in remission and I've seen my son's 9th & 10th birthdays! When I originally wrote this review, I honestly thought it would be a few last heartfelt words to impart hope in a hopeless situation. I am living proof that WE ALL have a Comeback, whether on Earth or in eternity. If you are reading this right now, know that this is written just for you! God placed this heavy on my heart to remind you that you are not alone, He sees you and knows your every hurt. Right now might feel like the end of something, but something new and great will be born from what you are enduring right now. If you haven't read The Comeback, I urge you to read it and refresh your heart and spirit through the word of God. HE is the ultimate comeback story and we are all precious to him. Maybe God allowed me to experience so much pain to write my original review, yet "comeback" 2 and a half years later to tell you this. When you feel the hope this book powerfully imparts through God in your life, amazing, unimaginable things will happen! I'm living proof!

I am a little too old to have ever experienced a Passion Conference, and I only have heard Louie speak once. But I am so thankful that he wrote this book! He is honest and vulnerable and tells story after story about the sovereignty of God. Through this book Louie writes and teaches the reader in a way that is Biblical and refreshing. This isn't a "If God is for us then you can start a business and God will bless it incredibly" type of book. Louie is quick to tell us that your comeback might not mean a healing of your cancer. Maybe your comeback won't happen on this side of eternity. He writes, "A disservice is done by any brand of Christianity that promises there's always going to be a better road ahead or insists that your circumstances will change or claims everything is going to work out right and all your wildest dreams will come true every time." Amen, Louie!
If you doubt you could ever do anything useful for God, this book is for you. If you need a fresh start after you find your dreams crashed, this book is for you. Louie tells stories from people he knows, he tells personal stories, and he tells Biblical stories like Joseph, the parting of the Red Sea, Abraham, Paul, Peter, and many more. Louie constantly points us to the glory of God. To the fact that making our life count for the glory of God is all that matters. You don't hear him talk about how big his church is or how many books he has written. Louie shares failures and successes in this book and always points to God. To hear the story of the Passion Conference that was almost cancelled because of rain or Louie's academic failures and Georgia State or his approach to his "copy guy" job are awesome. And the story of how God birthed the Passion Conferences is worth the price of the book right there. I loved the chapter called "When Dreams Are Dashed," "Never Too Late," and "Jesus Is Enough." Louie tells us honestly that there won't always be happy endings to our comeback stories- at least not here on earth. But he points us to Christ and that if all you have is Jesus then you have all you need! Louie talks about how God's plans rarely mirror ours. "God isn't interested in giving anyone a detailed road map to life." And he mentions that while pointing us to the truths of the Exodus and also shares personal stories about his road map to ministry that was going to include a couple years of student ministry at Baylor. But God had other things in mind. Part of the book is also a wonderful treatment of Psalm 37:3-5 that is helpful and encouraging and full of some applications from Louie's past.
I encourage you to read this book. As someone who reads David Platt, John Piper, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Donald Whitney, Russell Moore, Kyle Idlemon, Tim Keller, Kevin DeYoung, and more, I encourage you to get this book. I am so thankful for Louie's ministry and this book. I felt like the Lord was ministering to me and speaking to me.
This work is testimony to God’s work in our lives, and Louie Giglio makes the case for Christ compelling and irresistible.
The message is one for the ages, and one for everyone to hear, no matter where you are in life. It will bless you if you let it.
I highly recommend this book!
