Natasha Miller is the voice of wounds exposed, and the healing balm of poetry applied to the human spirit. The passionate 25 year-old Detroit, MI native is a writer, performance poet, dedicated activist, actress and an aspiring motivational speaker. "Coming out of Nowhere" ! This book is a complete eye opening experience. I was presented with issues that I wish did not exist within the LGBTQ community, and presented with the reality that many people (incl. myself) are faced with or will be faced with. This book will also cause you to self-reflect and deal with the biases you have within. T. Miller takes the time to show us the dangers of an ignorant society toward the LGBTQ community, and illustrates the need for a strong voice to prevail and stand up against the issue of hate crimes. This book is powerful on so many levels.

Coming Out of Nowhere is an awesome piece of literature.

Miller did something that was totally unique from my perspective. She takes posts from three of the most prevalent social networking sites today, and compiles them into one book.

That was a good idea in theory, and it was executed well in actuality. The presentation was fresh. I think this book's presentation is so attractive that it demands those who do not read traditional style books often, to read it until the very end.

The length of some of these debates proves that Miller has a gift to spark the thought process of anyone on or off stage. Miller shows she is a strong debator, and will defend her stand on an issue until her opponent is too exhausted to continue or at least understands her point of view and/or sees where his arguement is flawed. A great example of this is showcased when Miller debates YoungPhenom on Twitter extensively.

Some of the memorable chapters were Sports, The Politics, Sickness, and Tragedy. These chapters host some very fiery dialogues. Even though the Tragedy and Sickness chapters are not long enough, they are extremely powerful.

The book begins with a tasteful introduction. As you read beyond that point you will be challenged not to respond with the same exact degree of hate and anger as the harborers of ignorance do. The debates and discussions found within these pages will make you think of where you stand concerning some of these very same issues and topics. In addition your eyes will be opened to the hatred and ignorance that festers inside the people of 21st century America.
