I so appreciate the way in which this book was written. First of all it was written before society became so influenced by political correctness and the untruths that have been spread about the gay lifestyle. It is factual, full of grace, truth and answers. No easy fixes here, but honest answers, illustrations and discussion for those who are committed to following Jesus and accepting what God says about sin. This book does not compromise God's word on the alter of being socially acceptable. It offers truth in love with experiential, faith-filled counsel that can be put to the test, if someone is willing to lay it all down for the sake of the cross. If someone is looking for something else, this book will not fulfill your fantasy but in reading it you might learn the value of a life lived in the light of the cross.

One of my pastors, who loves me and also has a son in the homosexual lifestyle whom she loves dearly, lent this book to me more than 2 years ago. I still have it because I go back and re-read parts of it when I want encouragement and reinforcement. I lived a lesbian lifestyle for about seven years, but I am here to tell you that through this book (and several others), I have learned that God loves me deeply and offers real hope for permanent healing and change. I am now in a healthy heterosexual relationship. I am currently abstinent and will remain so until I marry, but look forward to a fulfilling sex-life with my future husband. I am thankful that Bob and Lori wrote this book for all of us who have the courage to let God into our hurt and believe that He can heal us and YES, CHANGE us!

This book is incredibly helpful, both for those who struggle with same sex attractions, or overdependent relationships, and those who want to help others who want to be free of homosexual thoughts or behaviors. It is both practical and insightful. There is a lot of explanation of the root of these struggles. There are some practical suggestions of how to get free of these behaviors. And the many testimonies give hope of freedom that can be found. It is also an excellent book for anyone in ministry so they can be more effectively equipped to help others.

I am a 17 yr. old Christian guy trying to learn Gods will for my life but I have battled with homosexual desires for years. I was praying and seeking God for help. (obviously this isn't an area you go and tell everyone about) I ordered the book and it has honestly changed my life. Bob and Lori share their personal struggles and how to overcome their temptations and desires. Teaching that as we grow spiritually in God... HE will bring change and healing into our lives. Homosexuallity is a SIN! God did not intend for us to be this way and HE HAS OFFERED HOPE! There IS a way out! This book shows and relates to many experiances common to us men and women stuggling with Homosexuality. This book is a God-SEND it will bring new light to our struggles. Keep the faith... ; )

I'm a 22y/o college student. I read this book and thought it was great. If you're a Christian and are truly seeking change, this book is for you. i was surprised by the negative reviews. As I read this book, I was floored at how the author knew exactly where I was coming from. Bob davies personally struggled with the issue of homosexuality. This book really helped me identify with my personal struggles and offered some great advice.

Not being gay, I'm not sure how useful this may be. The author does include many personal stories to help illustrate his point. I enjoyed the straightforward approach and the approach of a hyperactive turn-or-burn mentality to be not there. That is not to say that homosexuality is talked about as sin that a person needs to repent of.

However, after seeing reviews of books and programs like this, there is definitely misinformation on both sides and that's because people allow their emotions to be forefront and deemed most important. I read this book as taking a step back from that front line mentality and being genuine about wanting to help people to repent.

The book covers many different aspects of the whole situation, far more than could be listed here while giving a fair shake to the book. But with the focus being on using the power of God's Word and repenting and truly accepting Christ as Lord and Savior - it's the only way one can truly change of ANY sinful act. Final Grade - B
