About the Author
Take one part Appalachian redneck, one part aging wet dream, and one part filthy-minded wordsmith. Mix well and serve with chocolate-covered cherries. There you have the one and only Alessia Brio. Alessia writes all colors and flavors of erotica, from heterosexual to ménage to same sex, and from twisted to humorous to deeply touching. (Sometimes, usually by accident, it even qualifies as "Romance.") Her work has earned her critical acclaim in the form of an EPIC Award for Best Erotica (fine flickering hungers), two EPIC Awards for Best Erotica Anthology (Coming Together: Against the Odds & Coming Together: Into the Light), a Next Generation Indie Book Award for Best Erotica (Squeeze Play), and a Romantic Times Top Pick (Coming Together: For the Cure) in addition to a plethora of glowing online reviews. Readers can find her online via Twitter (@Alessia_Brio) or her self-publishing label, Purple Prosaic (purpleprosaic.com) Alessia began writing erotica & poetry at the thriving amateur site, Literotica, where she was also an active participant on its Authors' Hangout forum. It was there she received her nickname "Imp" and met her partner, Will Belegon. These days, Will & Alessia live under the same roof with two cats and three teenagers. They are outnumbered, but they are smarter. :)

In one story, a daughter is in danger in Africa. Her family hires someone to go in search of her to bring her back to the United States. Somewhere along the line the two fall in love. In another story, a widowed, black woman is in need of some loving and she picks an older white gentleman who is also a widower, that frequents the place she works at. The two of them find they may have more in common than they realized. In another story a lesbian, who likes to be dominated, finds love in the most unlikeliest of people, a younger white woman that has never been with a woman. Each story is about an interracial couple that explores sexual exploits and somewhere in the midst of it all finds love.
COMING TOGETHER AT LAST was a decent enough collaboration of short stories. Although at some points, it reminded me of a low-budget porn movie. The stories really lacked substance and consisted mainly of sexual encounters that I personally did not find very erotic. If you do not mind reading a bunch of sex-filled pages than you may very well enjoy this collaboration of short stories.
