The horror began when I started to play. My excitement to relive the past was squashed by the horrible graphics and colors that I witnessed on my screen. After several hours of searching for solutions, I found a 3rd party app that was made to fix EA's crap (because they can't fix it themselves?). Then I battled my antivirus program, as it kept quarantining the patch. Several more hours later, I finally got battle controls online. Luckily the C&C community has some awesome and helpful people, but no help from EA.
Also to top it off, the product is advertised to include a CD soundtrack, which it does not.
EDIT: For those wondering, I have Windows 10 Home, and I have successfully installed and played every game included in this package. Just note that for all of the games dated from the original C&C to RA2, they are not ready to play out of box (so to speak); third party patches are required to run these on Windows 10. It also seems like that patches allow online play of the older games, which I have not tried but seems like it is available.
1) You MUST be online to play
2) You can NOT access the game without creating an account
3) You must LOGIN in order to access the game
4) The app does NOT save your username and password (it says it does, but it does not)
Revised: Recovery worked, and got logged in, but it's still kind of an inconvenience.
The pain too is that you can't load custom maps ... stuck with the default set. Kinda lame.
Think about it is all.
I see lots of comments from buyers saying it doesn't work with Win 10...once I received my package in the mail, I did have to use it at the Origin's website to access the expansion pack. I then had to click on each game I actually wanted to download to my desktop. Post completing the download, I have functional desktop icons that successfully launch for game play. Only played CC thus far, but all videos and game play are like normal. Only thing I am missing is the Westwood start up video and exploding Orca's when you first start the game. Otherwise the game seems to work perfectly.
If you are a fan of RTS this is a instant classic. One of the first to spawn RTS genre to gaming and to this day is still great to relive (Except C$C 4 dont ever play that garbage) Now I wont go into detail of every game but more if the collection works and yes. The additional content is a nice bonus with the soundtrack Frank Klepacki giving us an amazing Hell March by this day still my favorite scores. The wallpapers are nice with some great artwork but alot of them are from the tiberium alliance thing eh but from Kanes Wrath are real nice so its a hit or miss. If anyone is concerned modding is still very much possible such as ZERO HOUR currently using the Nproject mod and had the cold war mod on it which works well and also had the Red Rising very great mods for Zero Hour and Tiberium 3 the forgotten is a great mod.
Nothing from the core games were touched and there gameplay is all I really need. This is a great way to experience Command and Conquer if you want to try or wait for Petroglyph to do the remaster but I highly recommend playing the originals before the remaster. Or wait your choice is yours happy conquering!!!!
EDIT: So there has been some problems with tryin to run older games with directx v12 a solution when using the origin client is delete the dbghelp.dll in the folder of the game hopes this helps more people would like to credit I found the solution on youtube and no, you dont need the third party patch or whatever and if you are curious what the dbghelp does I have been looking into it and seems like its a debug helper and thats all the info I have I looked at the microsoft docs for more info but didnt seem like something needed for this old game.

1 note: you download the games off of Origin, downloads and install are straight forward, but when u play the games u have to log in on the Origin site. so playing offline without "big Brother EA" watching is not possible [1984 is really becoming reality] anyway buy it, even if its just for one title on it, its worth it
