    This monitor is excellent. It is crystal clear, has good colors, and the speakers are not bad, either. I like that the display is not glossy and does not have problems reflections from the windows. We bought this for our family computer that sits on a desk in our main living area. It is big enough that the monitor can sit clear back against the wall and is still very usable, and it looks good on the desk. I shopped around for a monitors quite a bit before deciding on this one. I was not disappointed when it arrived!

    I ordered a Compaq Q2009 20-inch computer monitor, and the seller sent me a Compaq s1922a 18-inch monitor.The monitor came poorly packed in a beat-up box without a stand, a power cord, or computer cable, which are fairly standard with a monitor. Also, it doesn't work on my system, which consists of 5 of these Compaq Q2009 monitors. I don't really care about the stand, power cord or cable, but they are extra expenses I guess he expected me to pay for. I've written to the seller, who is apparently an individual in New York, and he responded that I could return it, but that I had to pay about $30 to ship it back to him. This, once I discovered that I was dealing with an individual (Ecstacy MY Way!) I got worried that I would pay for shipping and never get my refund. This practice is rife on the internet. I wrote back and said I didn't want to pay for shipping and could he make some arrangement to pick it up and refund my money (I bought another monitor on Amazon, and it came right away). After today's message to him asking him what he intends to do, he wrote back "You may donate the monitor to charity. I don't have time to argue or dispute anything over 1.5 inches." I don't think this is the type of person Amazon wants on their web site, but that's not my business. What I'm just hoping is that they will recognize that this is an irresponsible individual who is unwilling to work out a mutually agreeable resolution to his shipping me the wrong item. 1.5 inches might mean a lot to him, but $130 means a lot to me!

    I bought this monitor to replace a 19" Viewsonic widescreen that died suddenly on me. The second port on my video card is actually an HDMI port. The card manufacturer provided an HDMI to DVI adapter and I had no problem using it with the Viewsonic. When I bought this monitor, I looked everywhere to see if it had a DVI connector. I couldn't find anything in the spec that even suggested what kind of connection, VGA, DVI or otherwise. So I figure, at $130 just give it a go. Well, I was wrong.

    You'd think a new monitor these days would provide both types of port. I'm going to have to buy a DVI-VGA adapter now and hope it works. What's even worse is Amazon's return policy on this monitor. Now I feel like I've been screwed.

    I purchased this monitor in March and have had no problems with it. It looks good. It was easy to unpack and install. I have no problems with it other than the fact the sound isn't as loud as I would like. I have no problem hearing the sound but when I am playing a music video or song I like to have it up pretty loud but this monitor has the built in speakers and doesn't seem to amplify as much as I would like. If you don't need a louder volume or use the sound for just normal volume levels this monitor is perfect. In the future I would purchase a monitor with the speakers not being built in.
