This is book offers a graduate-level discussion on Social Movements. Whole classes have been built around his view on Social Movement Theory and the Political Process Model. McAdam is one of the influencial heavyweights in Social Movement Theory and these concept remain applicable today.

Bought this for a class....Couldn't read this book at all. Writing is boring and difficult to read. Caught myself rereading the same paragraphs twice or three times..... And so many of my classmates had the same issue. Wouldn't recommend any teacher to use this book. Students wouldn't get it and it would be a wastw of money amd time.

the product itself is great, have no complaints. The book arrived on time and got what I wanted. However with few scratched on the cover which is trivial really. The only reason for not rating it 5 stars and only 4 is that some of the articles are of less use to me and others are a bit boring to read, which however I'd known before.
So to some up - it's a great book, it intents to cover a wide range of topics that is why not all of the articles might be of adequate use for everyone.
