Compared to Who? is a much-needed, gospel-centered approach to the titanicstruggle women face when they look in the mirror. Creekmore's voice isrefreshingly honest, and she comes alongside the reader as a friend, helpingwomen leave behind the idol of beauty and embrace the outrageous beauty ofJesus. Compelling, well-researched and a helpful read.
Real, raw, relatable and not to mention, refreshing. Heather putwords to the very things myself and many other women subconsciously do andstruggle with. She tells it like it is, cuts out the cliches, and powerfullychallenges her reader -- all with grace, humor, and Truth. Every woman shouldread this book! - Jordan Lee, blogger, SoulScripts.com
If you've ever wanted to find freedom in the body you've been given, this book is for you. Heather takes you by the hand, and with solid Biblical principles, exposes the lies about beauty. She'll help you feel differently about the body you have - not the one you think you need. You'll find freedom on these pages.
Heather Creekmore holds up a biblical mirror for each of us to look into as we battle body image issues. With both humor and comradery, this gifted author tenderly unlocks the door to our self-made prison of body hatred. In a style that authenticates her own struggle, Heather invites us to join her in embracing new levels of freedom from our cycle of chronic comparisons. With concrete questions to think through after each chapter, this book is a must read for anyone who looks at herself and thinks, "If only ...".
From the Author
I wrote this book for one reason: to help women find a new answer to their body image issues. I grew so tired of reading books that told me not to worry about my body image, or to focus on how I was "fearfully and wonderfully made" or to just love my body because God does. None of these sentiments ever helped me at all. I longed for some truth yet couldn't find it. My prayer is that this book will offer women a completely different perspective on the issue of body image and what's at the root of it. I pray you'll read it and be changed for the better!

I have struggled with body image issues since 3rd grade and they have always hung in my life like a heavy grey cloud of despair despite my relationship with the Lord, a life with so much to be thankful for, and even if not more so when reaching as close to my ideal physical body as I can reach......
My book arrived on Friday and I devoured it in 3 days. I underlined so much that mirrored my thoughts, my actions, my struggles. I am not alone in this fight and neither are you!
What I loved about the book is that I now feel like there is real hope for recovery, for freedom for the all consuming struggle with my body not being "good enough". I look forward to going back and answering and pondering the questions at the end of each chapter and working through the practical steps Heather writes about in the book.
Even if you have followed her blog for years, buy the book.... you won't regret it.
I can't remember a time I didn't struggle with body image. As soon as the bullying started in school, my self-esteem and sense of worth vanished even though I was no different than I'd been the day before. And it's been a constant struggle in the 40 years since. I'm ashamed of the way I've let body image affect my life. I've cancelled plans or been too embarrassed to go places. I've felt like a failure as a person because of my weight and appearance. I've cried so many tears wishing I could just be normal. The joke was on me! I'm normal - like the 91% of women who also struggle with body image.
I've been on a journey to let go of my body image struggles for the last couple of years, but Heather Creekmore's book has freed me in a way I didn't expect. I really wasn't sure I wanted to read another book about weight loss or loving myself the way I am. I've heard all the platitudes I've tried all the diets. I wanted something real, something that would last. Compared to Who? gave me both!
I would recommend this book to anyone struggling with body image, even though it mostly pertains to women. I did receive a free copy from the author, but the opinions are my own! I've never been so glad I read a book. If you take what she says to heart, you will change. And freedom never felt so good.
