This is a nice bumper case. I like that it is metal and allows for the MotoMods to be attached nicely. I like the hinge on the bottom to be able to slide the phone in. There are no directions included. A hint for you...in order for the bottom to be opened or closed you need to slightly lift up the side piece by the lock. This allows the latch to hook on the bar.

Because of the policy relating to not being able to return this item, it is then only important to ensure others do not buy this item. The case completely negates phone signal in every way, which made the phone unusable going forward. This needs to be made aware prior to purchase. Also, this case negates the usb-c port from being properly used based on size. It's disappointing that the case causes so much issue, as the design feels good on the phone, it just causes the phone to almost become inoperable. The case all but eliminated the fingerprint reader as well, but could be reconciled by rescanning the sides of your thumb, to work sometimes.

This is a very snug fit case. Good access to the fingerprint sensor, charge port, microphone ports.

I have the Verizon rubber bumper. It's good, this one is slimmer and the buttons are tactile, clicky. The other cases I've tried have a rubbery button that is difficult to know if you are pressing it.

The only downside is that it decreases the range for Bluetooth devices. I'm struggling to get good connection from my jacket pocket top ear buds.

It's a nice case and the buttons are responsive but sensitive. Which can be a good thing but sometimes a nuisance. There are 2 flaws to the case

1. Charging port cut out.

The cutout for the charger is not for universal usb c cords. Since it has a round cut out for the charging port not all charger heads will fit. Quite annoying

2. Locking mechanism. Because of the cut out, I have taken off the case which caused the locking mechanism to wear out. So even locked I can still pry it open. Not a good thing if I were to drop it.

Either than that. All mods can be used with the case. So overall, it's better than nothing.

Then, you put the bumper on. And when you slide the phone in from bottom up and notice the extremely cheap latch that holds the bumper closed tight around the phone.

Whenever I take my phone out of my pocket... Clasp opens.
Whenever I give the case a little squeeze... Clasp opens.
Picking my phone from off the table... Clasp opens.

This thing has popped off 7x when I was writing this review. Utterly useless if I were to actually drop my phone. A pity too. A potentially good product ruined by cheaping out on a vital piece.

I have bought the bumper cases like this. They slide off of your phone and eventually break. I don't see this one being an issue since it locks around your phone so tight. Has rubber in between phone and the metal casing so no worries about dripping it. I like that it hinges closed and the lock is secure. No need to worry about it opening either, even if the lock is open it is hard to get ooen. I am seriously thinking about buying another one. Keep in mind though, some of your USB c chargers may not fit and if you try to remove you may end up bending it a little if not careful about doing so.

I don't know if it's the material the case is made of or something else, but since I started using this case I started to get poor reception.

My WiFi regularly disconnect and reconnect and the general phone signal was always low.

Since I live in a region with "ok" coverage I frequently loss signal all together.

I even sent the phone to repair to make sure it wasn't the device.

It was fun to be able to swap mods in a moments notice, but in the end it wasn't worth it for me.
