There isn't any booklet which would have been nice discussing the various line ups of the band. None of these have bonus tracks or are expanded in any way.
If you pick these up along with the first three albums with MK 1 (featuring Rod Evans and Nick Simper), you'll have some pretty terrific music. The first three albums are well represented by the remasters (yes, they were done by Peter Mew but he keeps his uses of noise reduction to a minimal and, although a bit bright, you can adjust these yourself to the sound you like. They also feature a wealth of bonus material and the first time digital version of the original master tapes for the debut). There are albums after these that you may want to pick up as well that represent the crème of Deep Purple. It's about bloody time they were inducted in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
I replaced several older CDs with this set. At the least, no difference. At best, the new CDs sound better.
I bought this set through Amazon.com . There are some coming out of China via e-bay. I paid a couple of dollars more. I got the set that was made in Europe (EU). I think it was worth it.
