This series captivated me from one story to the next - Trista and Blaze (who I am not the biggest fan of Trista and her "I am an badass biker bitch, and MC member attitude. So I am rough, tough and can say whatever to whoever, and don't you forget it." She may be the President of the Fallen Idol's daughter, but she is also a woman, and Blaze makes sure to remind her of that too!
Axel and Paige - Now that was a story and a half! Axel goes to jail, and he meets the pretty infirmary nurse, Paige, and he is determined to have her, and when Paige finds out Axel is part of an MC she is determined to stay away from him. Her best friend has had the misfortune to become the "Old Lady" of Chubs, a very, very bad man in the Las Almas MC, and Paige is convinced that this kind of treatment of their women is all the MC's stand for. Paige finds Axel very hard to forget though, but she tries. She and her friend have to move (to Brooks Landing -closer to the Fallen Idols MC but this was not by design) because of Chubs and his MC threatening, and even beating Cindy. Paige is determined to get her friend away from that life. Unfortunately, Paige runs into Axel right after moving, and you know where this story goes! Axel has taken on the job of first, finding Paige, and then protecting Paige and Cindy, and trying to get to Chubs. Axel and Paige's story is really a great read.
Ryder and Sawyer - Now that's a love story filled with hurt, betrayal, secrets, and all the things that couples like these two would share growing up in the MC. Sawyer comes back to help her mother who is ill and needs surgery. Sawyer ran away 5 years ago, right after her father is sentenced to life in prison, and Sawyer feels strongly that the MC did nothing to help him stay out of prison. Sawyer finds she is still in love with Ryder even though he tries to say he didn't think of her at all - he sure did, heading off the deep end of a bottle of Jack to try and forget her, but he never could. Sawyer's brother Cruz is 17 now, and resentful of her leaving him, and now back thinking she can tell him what to do. He is a prospect for Fallen Angels because of Ryder, and Ryder has to do some fast talking to Sawyer to explain why he sponsored Cruz as a prospect for the Fallen Angels. However, certain members of Las Almas MC seem to think he should belong to their MC because of his heritage (Mother Maya is Mexican, and Maya's brother is Isidro, El Presidente of Las Almas, and Sawyer and Cruz's Dad is white.) The match was never approved of my Maya's brother, but to keep the peace he accepted what he could not change. So many obstacles for Sawyer and Ryder, that when Sawyer finally tells Ryder why she really left, it drives Ryder away from her again, and she has just discovered she is pregnant again. Yet, against all the odds, they made it to the end - together!
There is club betrayal, a psycho FBI agent Velasquez determined to bring the MC down, the Chinese MC - Red Dragons, and all the wonderful couples, and people that make up the MC Family! It is a must read box set!!!
A little more editing and proofreading would have helped, but you sure cannot fault the solid stories of this box set!!!
