FINALLY!! We were both very pleased with the results. My husband because he loved the finished product, and was able to enjoy his treats again. Me, because I take pride in my cooking/baking and was finally able to make something I could be proud of! When friends come over, I dont tell them they are eating vegan treats until after the fact. They are all pleasantly shocked.

Donna, an experienced vegan baker, has written and tested over 150 delicious savoury and sweet vegan baking recipes using healthy ingredients that will appeal to both vegan and non-vegan palates.
I have made quite a few recipes with great success! The recipes are well written and easy to follow. One of my favourites is Mocha Cake. Made with a combination of chocolate and coffee, this is one moist, decadent cake.
I really recommend this cookbook. It is just not just a vegan baking book, but also a guide to healthier baking for everyone. It surely should be added to the baking section of anyone`s cookbook collection.
The author, Donna Diegel, adds a nice description to each new chapter. The tips and notes that go along with the recipes are very helpful and add some tidbits that you might not have known.
What I like the most about this book is the fact that Donna has added all kinds of breads, rolls and pastries to round out the collection. Also included are Strudels, Turnovers, Tarts and Galettes; all of which will make your mouth water and you will be anxious to try them all. They are easy to understand and just as easy to bake.
I recommend this book to everyone. Long time vegan cooks as well as beginners, and non-vegan bakers as well. If you aren't Vegan, and just want to try a healthier type of baking, this is the book for you, too!
