Interesting read. Author has a good grasp. Misses a few but for a person that doesn't want to take weeks of their life studying the Quran and then the 4050 page Haddith and then the Tasfir and Sira... well it's a good start. Learning about the true Islam is something that all the kids in the west should be taught instead of the lies being told by Dhimmis and proselytizers. Nearly everyone in the west is as I say "Islamo-ignorant" and people are paying the price for it. This book is an overview of many things people should know. I would caution people to study more in depth because a good Muslim liar (Taqiyya) that has memorized a bunch of misleading scripture (usually from the early Meccan Quran before abrogation and the evil Medina verses overtook anything peaceful) will run circles around you in an argument if you're not prepared. A book like this is a supplement or compliment to learning further and helps set a solid foundation for that premise.

Spencer writes a great book, and I enjoyed reading this one. The detail was great and accurate and helps to explain why we must be alert to the forces of evil embedded in the koran and the hadith, etc.,.
This book helps to explain why in the west we should be so alert to the evil driving forces of Islam. He explained many of the terrors that a modern man should not have to endure. More than a few must listen to reality or the big mess existing now in the EU, could also lead to civil war in US cities where the muslims have staked out their invading claim on European lands. Mohammad made a big deal out of pushing his followers to invade neighboring lands to take booty and sex slaves, which drove their murderous armies forward and paid for the slaughter of Christians and Jews alike. History shows all this and the author did a great job of explaining why he was being targeted for his voice against the evils of Islam. Many others have been killed for speaking out and many more must die, I am afraid, before the EU wakes up to their very great folly.
Mohammad's belief in slaughter of anyone who stands in his way was duplicated in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s _ Hitler having travelled to Jerusalem to be trained in terror tactics, by the IMAMs there - which allowed him to rise to power by fear and terror in Germany...
We need to forget that Islam is a religion by force and focus in its crimes, having slaughtered 270,000,000 people in their 1400 year history.
Its past time to stop Islam in its evil tracks and outlaw the spread of its slim and ban it in the west, etc...A true religion builds up its followers and does not make them slaves to a crazed ideology, as Islam does systematically.

It goes beyond the simplistic characterizations of peaceful and violent Muslims, but delves into the theology that undergirds modern Islam in many of its variants. It will surprise you, anger you, but also give you hope. The origins of peaceful Muslims are discussed, but in a very nuanced way that doesn't give way to naivete about the theological consensus. Give it a read no matter how you feel about Islam: you will learn a lot. Robert Spencer does his homework and hardly indulges in gross simplifications. He takes on claims about Islam head on with citations from Islams respected scholarly authorities, leaders, and historical accounts.

Excellent book! Mr. Spencer did a wonderful job exposing the idiosyncrasies of the Koran and how i can be used against those whom do not believe the same. This book isn't a guide to interpret the entire Koran, but it covers many of the main points that apply to the "infidels" that question and try to grasp why it seems to promote the genocide of un/non believers. Well written. Enjoyed reading this.

As an Arabic linguist who has read the Koran, Mr. Spencer made crystal clear quite a few charming concepts that went completely over my head the first time. For example, "those whom your right hands possess" doesn't sound nearly so innocuous when you realize this is Koranic euphemism for slaves (something this "perfect book" takes completely for granted).

As is often the case with this author's works, the free world ignores him at their own peril.

A very good analysis to the religiously divisive and dangerous contents of the Koran. I am of the opinion that Islam is no friend to Western democratic nations and it is certainly no friend to other religions. It is quite simple if you are a muslim, even a conservative one, you believe that non-believers or infidels are to be converted, subjugated or killed. If you are a moderate then you are simply not a muslim and in the eyes of other muslims an apostate who deserves death. There are a lot of peaceful muslims in our world but the golden thread of its ideology is to create a global caliphate by what ever means and deceit possible. The thoughts of peaceful moderates are irrelevant as they simply do not hold power.
This book gives you an in depth analysis to that train of thought and explains why the biggest danger to western democracies is Islam. It is a train of thought that will get you ring fenced by the liberal left and ostracised but it is true. It is happening right now and at the moment we are allowing the caliphate to happen.

Thoroughly interesting book by R. Spencer showing, using ISLAMIC TEXTS, what this Fascistic, Desert - Bandit Dogma, posing as a Religion is all about & its aims. A bit miffed it didn't quote the words of Ayisha, Mohammed's child bride, on her views of Islam. It's not in the Koran but in the Hadiths. A woman went to complain to Ayisha about the beating she's received from her husband. Her bruises had, were not only purple/black & blue, but had gone green! Ayisha asked Mohammed what he was going to do about it - nothing. She clearly stated, "Nobody suffers like the women of the Believers. "We're treated worse than dogs & slaves etc." If this doesn't open the eyes of non-Muslims, then really nothing will.
