It is truly wonderful to have a guide for answering question about the ripper murders. I used this book extensively in writing 'Dem Bon'z a novel about a serial killer in North Dakota with links to Jack the Ripper. There are a lot of ripper books out there but this one should be a welcome addition to the library of any mystery/crime enthusiast.

This is an excellent starting point for the new "RIPPEROLOGIST".Unfortunately I have been one for years and I'm familiar with most of the material. The book is basically an overview and does not go into depth on all the topics from"a-z".Still as I said it's a great primer.Mostly I just want to say that Iam convinced that the Ripper was plain JOE BARNETT from the local fish market and boyfriend of Mary Kelly, the final victim. thanks dennis collins

I must admit that this book was more than I expected. It is a detailed investigation into the crime, the mind of the fiendish killer, an examination of society, and an introduction into criminology. The writers took the time to be detailed and used a flowing style to convey their findings. Overall, this is a fine piece of writing.

I thought it was updated with new photos be the E book doesn't have any. Good reference source though.

I'm not an expert by any means on the subject of Jack the Ripper, but I have a lifelong interest about life and crime in Victorian London. The authors have updated the book judiciously (I have an old paperback edition) and there are some interesting additions. It's a valuable research tool for those new to "Ripperology" and for old hands alike.

I am still reading through this book but it gives an excellent account of the murders and everyone involved or believed to be involved in them. I recommend this book highly to those interested in starting their own research into Jack the Ripper or even if you just want a good book to read.

This book is very helpful as a reference source, with its alphabetical list of suspects, victims, events, police officers, and almost anything else surrounding the Jack the Ripper case.

Waited for years for this in hardcopy at a reasonable price. Bought it, and the book quality stinks. NO EXCUSE. Yes a review should also consider what it is printed on. The cheapest quality of paper, and light printing. The authors are the best in the field, and have a lot of great information, but someone tried to cut too many corners and came out with one cheap quality of a book.
