It reminds me of a textbook from school. The print is easy to see, with sufficient ink, and the paper is not see through for the most part. The paper isn't sharp white but it isn't newspaper opaque either. The cover is gives the appearance of being slimmer than the book really is so when you open it you're surprised that it is as wide as it is. The hardcover is a beautiful royal blue with white and gold words and leaves.
The translation appears the same as the previous version. There are colorful introduction pages for each book which again reminds me of new chapters in a textbook which I enjoy. Each introduction gives an outline of the book. Each book title is also in royal blue as well as the chapter numbers.
They have study helps at the bottom of the pages which are generally Jewish tradition knowledge, parables and such which I've never heard.
The themes are interesting. The names of God, very much.
I have been looking for a larger print NASB that has thick enough paper, or sufficient ink and have had no success. So I decided to try this new study Bible, and I'm very happy with it.
Very much indeed.
It has a nice, easy to read font and lots of insights and Jewish perspectives.
The Greek translation is not always true to the Hebrew meaning of the words.
I have found this translation absolutely essential in understanding Jesus's words and also what Paul was trying to communicate.
We have truly lost our Jewish roots and this is a giant step toward leading us back to the truth of the Gospel Message.
