These DVD's are great for those hoping to make the transition from hobbyist to professional photographer. I've watched each DVD and have jotted down extensive notes. There is a lot of great and helpful information inside. I watched them in order, and found that they build on each other, and even though I'm not ready to take the leap into wedding photography just yet, I think that I could now. I want to wait until I can upgrade my camera before that happens, because I want to have a back up camera for such a big day. DVD #1 This one covers camera basics, and instructs on lessons to do in order to learn your camera. I followed along and did the lessons as instructed. I've had my camera for eight years, but it helped me to understand it more thoroughly. DVD #2 This one is about marketing and websites. I liked the ideas that were detailed and even on how to market and what to avoid. This DVD tells you all the basics to get started on the business end of things. DVD #3 This is the DVD on getting more clients. This was a great DVD and might have been my favorite of the set because there was so much insight. I love how specific this was to photography, because of course that's what it was made for, but it felt so individual to me and my situation. Like I said before, I got so many good notes from this as well as the other DVD's. DVD #4 This one was about wedding photography. For me this was an area of photography that made me most nervous. I think it's more obtainable now that I've seen the expectations. I feel like this DVD took some of the pressure away from pursuing this in the future. Like I said, I'm not going to do this type of photography until I upgrade my camera, but it sounds like something I will try in the future.
After watching the whole set, I feel more confident and ready to get out there. I'd recommend these DVD's to anyone who wants to make the leap to pro as I do. Also, I don't think I said it before, but the instruction style was terrific. Sometimes photography instruction can be too technical, and that is something I didn't find here. I learned and enjoyed it at the same time.
I'm a startup photographer/videographer who has been in the hobby of it for years, but now that I'm starting my LLC, i've had to learn more of the technical side of camera operation. I mainly got this for the DVD on SLR cameras, but i'm excited to see the others. The DVDs are user-friendly, easy to understand, and don't complicate the aspects of a camera that you need to learn like some youtube videos I have seen. I'm so excited to learn more! I'm thankful to have something that gives me a tangible, basic understanding of cameras...so I can apply it and create better photos and video! Thank you Bethany, I know this set is going to help so many people.
Great set for anyone just starting out! Very easy to follow and understand. Other videos can be confusing or move too quickly to really grasp the concepts. These were exactly my pace! The only issue I had was the artwork on the covers. They seem very outdated, but the content in the DVDs makes up for it.

Amazing videos. I have tried so many times to use my camera for what it was meant to do, to only come out with photos that were no different than my phone. With the tips and tricks I feel like I’m ready to capture so many better quality memories. Thank you thank you! Can’t wait to show off what I learned.
