"Susan Levitt's readable book is a perfect introduction to reading Tarot cards." --Brian Williams, author and creator of Renaissance Tarot, Pomo Tarot, and Minchiate Tarot

Bonus materials include a Beginner's lay-out / fold-out chart, a tri-fold cheat sheet of the differences between the two decks, and a nice Tarot Journal--for keeping records of the readings, to study accuracy and ability of Tarot Reading, and to study the synchronicities you might not catch by memory alone.
As the author mentions, "The Book of Thoth," by Crowley (ISBN: 0877282684) is a great resource, as well. However, I strongly suggest Lon Milo Duquette's "Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot" (ISBN: 1578632765) as a first step after studying "The Complete Tarot Kit," by Susan Levitt ....then, move-on to Crowley's Thoth Tarot book, afterward.
For further research, I also suggest: "The Tarot Handbook: Practical Applications of Ancient Visual Symbols," by Angeles Arrien.
However, save yourself some headaches and start with "The Complete Tarot Kit," by Susan Levitt ! :-)
When I picked the package up at the post office, it was very weighty. I opened it up to find a sturdy and beautiful box which contained the kit. I opened the magnetic closure on the box and found the book "Introduction to Tarot" which at 246 pages was more than I expected. The book itself would be worth the $36 I paid for the kit. After pulling out the book, I found a tarot journal. The journal is also a nicely bound paperback book with workpages to fill out in your first weeks learning the tarot. After taking out the journal I was VERY pleased to find a large, glossy paper "mat" in which several different "spreads" are featured. Underneath the spread guide mat there is a small paperboard quick guide with short descriptions of every card in both decks. Finally, there were the two actual decks nestled into their own little compartments.
If you are just beginning with tarot I HIGHLY recommend this kit as it is a very comprehensive guide and contains full-sized decks and learning materials. It is all contained in a beautiful and lasting box, as well!

So far so good. It is worth the money although the two card deck should be bigger and stronger than what it comes.
Shipping time pretty standard.
