The book does a great job giving an overview of the many different styles of furniture one may endeavor to produce, both in the form of varied example projects and copious photos of built work out of prominent custom furniture shops. While some of these styles have fallen a bit out of favor since the original 90's publication, they are still sure to serve as useful inspiration for construction technique.
It may not suffice as the only reference for someone who is first putting saw to board, but I think this book lands squarely in the space of well-worn benchside reference that will serve any woodworker well through many years of growth.
