When I signed up to read and review Paulette's new book, I was clueless as to how it would target areas in my life. Pains and heartaches I clung to. But it did. Dead on. Sometimes we need a picture drawn in order to see what we've allowed to hinder us from a closer relationship with Christ. Paulette's artistic ability at drawing a clear resemblance of is a gift. This book is ideal for a small group women's Bible study class, as well as a personal motivational read! Each chapter clearly aligning with the passages of Scripture that are included, will bring you to a point of deep reflection of what needs addressing in your heart. Through challenges and changes, Paulette encourages us to embrace what God wants to do in our lives! As Paulette closes each chapter with a prayer, you are invited to carry each need of your life, each problem to Christ--to allow Him full access to address the issues once and for all! I encourage you to contact Paulette Harper and get a copy of this book for your next women's study group and/or retreat! --Angie Knight
Completely Whole was written with a hint of personal experiences, meant to create a lasting touch on the hearts of those who read the pages. As I read through the book, I got the sense that Ms. Harper wanted everyone to know that there is a process to becoming whole, and there should be a desire to becoming & Completely Whole Never in time as such as we live, will the need arise for us to check in with ourselves, and see what level of authenticity we are operating from. Ms. Harper weaves these types of questions and answers throughout the entire book giving you a way to see yourself as you are and to appreciate the press to do something different. It is a great read, and it's truths will follow for days and months to come. As it is Ms. Harpers desire for you to reach your place of wholeness, I too say that wholeness is a great place for change to begin. --Dr. Lakita Long, Author

In 2009 I begin saying to the Lord, I Want To Be Whole. I believe the Lord, brought this back to my remembrance this year.
As I was on line reading a devotional, I saw this book, I read a chapter and decided I needed to order this book. I highly recommend it . The book is an easy read, very practical, thought provoking, life changing.
If you are struggling with any issues, man or woman, this book can and will help you if you will read it! Paulette pens a book chunked full of awesome, helpful information that we all need. As I read this book, I felt like at times she was speaking right at me, and she really was, because the Lord was speaking to me about the issues as I was reading.
The main thing I found special about this book is the author, because I could feel her love and devotion to the Lord, as well as to those who read her book. I really like Paulette's style of writing, giving you questions, causing you to think about what you read. And her first question to us hit me right in the gut! "Wouldn't life be so much better if we could tell God how to do His job?" How many times do I tell God what to do? Even when I pray and give it all to Him, later I find myself trying to figure out how God needs to do this or that. Life would be so much better if I, Joy, would stay out of His way and let Him do the job He wants to do. And Completely Whole gives me the recipe to do that.
Though I read this book fast in order to review it, I will be reading it again, this time to dwell on the words, tips and everything else chunked in here for readers. I highly encourage each one who reads this review to run on out an purchase a copy. This will be a book that will stay as you companion for a long while.
I rec'd this book from the author, Paulette Harper to read and review. The opinions in this review are mine only. I was not required or expected to write a positive review.
The first chapter was one of my favorites because it went over how to be made whole. Ms. Harper states when we are going through the challenges of life we need to stop and ask "What is God trying to say to me and teach me? The author wants women to be "Completely Whole" as mentioned in the bible however she makes it clear that it's the choice of every women.
The cover and gender focus of this book seems to be for woman; however I happen to believe it's a good read for everyone. As I continued to read, the recurring theme throughout the book was though we are broken at different times in our lives it is God's desire we be whole.

This book would be perfect for the Christian who has become complacent and need an inner revival to refresh their spirit. I can see someone allowing their spirit to be renewed as they discover things about themselves along the way that will allow them to become a better person. I enjoyed the prayers and the scriptures riddled throughout most of the book.
I would have to say that I would have liked more from the narrative. I felt that once the authors testimony was introduced it was quickly pulled away as though the reader shouldn't know the full extent of what they've been through. Writing can be a healing process and many testimonies are shared and I can't but help to think if the full story was given it could help to free someone else in a similar situation. Also while I recognize the audience for this book is for a Christian base, to anyone who maybe on the edge of wanting to become a Christian may feel this book teetered on the boarder of being preachy.
I would recommend it for Christian readers and bookclubs who feel that there may be something missing in their lives and want to reach that next level.
