Possible Good Information if you can get past the spelling and grammer errors

Paperback. While the book contains good information and justification of the author's qualifications, he should have spent the time and money to have the book edited publication standards. The credibility of the material suffers for the word choice errors, spelling errors, bad grammar, and just plain bad editing. The same word is spelled multiple ways in the book. My confidence in his knowledge of the subject is challenged by the lack of attention to the details of writing a book. The quality of physical paper is very good - paper, cover, etc. From the lack of publication data except for a printed on date and printed location, my guess would be paper copies are printed on demand and shipped.

This is a terrible book. The author is clearly a very experienced composites operator. He should however have paid more attention in English class. Can you trust a wing built by someone who cannot speak his mother tongue?
Language aside, the premise of the book is misleading as well. The first 82 pages (of 134, the last 8 describes his resume) is a regurgitation of all the materials, and tools used in everyday composites work. No "Modern Methods" here. So the gist of the book reduces to 44 pages where techniques are described, and that is all that any experienced composites worker will find of value.
Really, this book was proofread by Atilla the Hun before the English language was invented. I will gladly proofread anything the author writes, free of charge, just to save the rest of the planet the misery of being exposed to sentences like: " Most where originated in war time (cold war included) and they have the get to the point need to know info to build the xyz that will save the day."

No frills, straight to the point and a jump-in crash course in material choices. This was exactly what I needed for my project. It's a quick read but jam-packed. His other books are worth the read as well.

I expected lot better I better text and diagrams sitting out processes, showing people the basics right through to the finish product. I have been teaching composites to homebuilders of boats and Michael lights for many years. Also being a composite tutor at the boatbuilder school in New Zealand I would not give the book to my students.
