When viewing in kindle and I'm half way through, none of the pictures are visible. Even some text (see the example) is unreadable.
It's like a teaser (movie trailer): 'Life comes down to this formula:" ....<<unreadable text>>
I wonder who made a kindle version and didn't check the results.
So far I like the book, but I feel cheated for not having all the content.

I also felt a little tender towards Darren. What a good kid he was, trying to make his dad proud of him. I love that he admires his tough dad so much. There is something sweetly insecure about him that warms my heart.
I do have a few issues that I must kindly protest, however. Here are some:
1. While I agree that we can watch too much news, I can’t say enough about how important it is to know what is happening in the world. I think that learning about the earthquake in Peru, the corruption in our government, the next presidential candidates are very important. Just because it doesn’t directly affect you, doesn’t mean we should ignore the news. That is how evil regimes take over. That is how selfishness evolves. I think we should reach out or be alert to what is happening.
2. Money is very nice to have! But my goodness....money does not buy happiness. I understand how wanting to be a good breadwinner is important, but we need to remember we can’t take money with us after we die. It’s too easy to feel like a real man when you’re rich, but don’t forget that everyone has a potential and a talent to contribute to this earth. Not everyone has a deep desire to be filthy rich. They would rather have careers or lifestyles that brings about a true betterment to mankind...such as teachers, therapists, and nurses.
3. I hated to see how much Darren brags. I’m sure he meant to show how successful he is so he can prove that his theories work, but sometimes I just cringed with embarrassment by his self importance.
4. I think to weed out people from your life because you don’t find that they benefit you enough is a bit concerning. Over and over again, scripture tells us to abase ourselves and serve others. The first will be last and the last will be first. Jesus was the perfect example of reaching out to the poor and sick and despised. I’m afraid that folks will take from this book that they themselves are ALL that matters.
5. Darren hinted in his book that we are fully responsible for our lives. I got the impression that no one should have excuses for failure. We should take 100% of the blame or the credit for our failed or successful lives. While it sounds great and has some truth in it...I think, I fear that folks will once again only admire the rich and worldly success. Perhaps they will blame the struggling and poor for their own problems. If you think about it, that is concerning. It makes me shudder. What kind of world would we live in if we have no compassion for the mentally ill, the foster child, the family who works so hard but due to a poor environment, they are unable to find access to the basics?
While I found some great tips and tricks in this book, this is definitely not going to be my North Star. I hope we all take some caution while reading this or other self help books. I give this 2.5 stars.
Kindle version needs to be updated and pushed back out to buyers.
At the same time I’m receiving several invitations to this apparently exclusive seminar (which only shows three possible options for viewing, only the next time I managed to open the link, it showed three new ones). The seminar itself is just a teaser for this program, with little information on what, for instance, a jig is really about. And the so called gifts he promised in advance are not actually gifts, just part of the package of a very expensive “leadership” program. After the “seminar” I’ve received multiple emails saying the program is almost full, that it will be my life’s biggest mistake not to enroll and so on. The marketing is really very aggressive.
It all seems so exclusive and personal, when it is really just a part of a scheme, designed to deceive desperate people. The book seems to be part of this scheme. And the take home message if it all is that you’re allowed to take advantage of people in order to further your own success. At least Darren Hardy is.
