Editorial Reviews

THE COMPUTER WORE TENNIS SHOES: Before nerds, geeks and cyberpunks, there was Medfield College student Dexter Riley (Kurt Russell), who accidentally turns into a human computer through a shocking lab mishap. As the hype over his instant genius threatens to swell his head, he becomes the center of a tug-o-war between greedy college deans and dangerous gamblers. With the help of his friends, the genius learns a valuable lesson in this hilarious family comedy. THE STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD: When Medfield College science major Dexter Riley's (Kurt Russell)experimental vitamin compound ends up in his cereal box, he gains superhuman strength that levels lampposts and destroys doorknobs. The amazing formula comes to the attention of the dean and two rival cereal companies, touching off a hilarious chain of events. Get ready for a powerful dose of comedy and adventure that will have your whole family exploding with laughter!

The first two of a trilogy of college films with Kurt Russell.
Given a ten-movie contract with Disney he did an excellent job keeping several
"second [Phil Silvers] banana" actors afloat until death---or Social Security---
took over.
I've got these two films--on two discs-- in a clear empty QUAD DVD box with t-h-e
third film: NOW YOU SEE HIM, NOW YOU DON'T....

No Academy Award stuff, here, but certainly NOT "JACK & JILL" either.

Recommended, harmless, mildly entertaining fluff of interest to those of us IN
California in the late `sixties, early `seventies... that DON'T have time-machines.

Young Kurt Russell playing a college student doing all kinds of cheesy things. You can't go wrong. They're even kind of sci-fi but in a very un-serious way. I remember seeing The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes when the Disney Channel would transmit on scrambled for promotional week. It was good stuff then, and is still good now. I recommend this set.

I watched these when I was growing up and found them very entertaining. Now a days we need wholesome entertainment like this just to escape the everyday grind.

Principals

I laughed and its interest to watch the smart student, when things hit into an accident...became strong and also computer wore tennis shoes...The Principals is so offensives and stupid, he has no clue, because of his ignoring. The Principals is plain stupid!
