I am a licensed cosmetologist and I purchased this Conair 1in. barrel iron and absolutely love it!! The highest heat setting gets very hot! I used it close to that, with a good heat protectant and being I wanted loose curls just ran through it very fast so it didn’t cause damage. I do however have thick hair and a lot of it. I curled both directions throughout, curling the hair closest to my face all back. When cooled, I ran my fingers through to loosen and fluff them more! I have a feeling these curls will last very well! For only being $10 it’s a great iron! Previous reviews stated the buttons are in inconvenient places where your hand travels, which I did experience hitting the on/off button while using but being it makes a click when you do, I was able to turn it right back on right away so no issues there. As far as the temp setting being adjusted while using as I read in previous reviews before purchasing, I took one’s suggestion of finding the temp setting appropriate for my hair and electrical tapes around the circular dial! Worked great that way🤗

It does the job. I wish the grab on the other side is little longer so my fingers are not so close to the heat, and the grib is not that comfortable but it is ok for the price. Please Look at the photo to see how short is the other side grab that I am talking about.
It works very good, and it does it job.

I love this curling iron! I have very fine hair and I like to add curls for volume. I bought my old curling iron at Dollar General and it took forever to heat up and it was cheaply made plus the on/off button got stuck and wouldn't work so I searched for a new curling iron and found this one. The rose gold color is very pretty and I love that it's ceramic. It heats up very fast and has temp control so you can adjust the temp for your hair type. It creates very pretty curls! I'm very happy with my purchase!

Seemed like a nice curling iron but I guess I bought the wrong size for my hair length. I have a shoulder length bob. I am going to return and get a different styling tool. The curling iron gets much hotter than I've been used to but I guess that's a good thing. It just wasn't for me. felt like I was gonna burn my hair and face off. The last time I bought a curling iron was around 1999 and back then regular curling irons weren't as hot. This one goes up to 400 degrees. It took less than 30 seconds to heat up and I only left it in my hair two to five seconds and the curls were already set. I have very thick hair and doing my hair with the small sections you need to use would take me 2-3 hours minimum. It just doesn't hold very thick sections of hair . I tried it on my mothers long bra length long hair and it made nice spiral curls. She has fairly thin hair and it took me around 50 minutes. She said it was too hot on her head too even on the lowest setting. If your used to curling irons that reach 400 degrees then you'll probably really like this one.

I didn't realize how short the barrel is on this. I have shoulder length hair and I can barely wrap it around the wand without overlapping. The barrel is not smooth and hair does not slide easily - this could be good or bad. I like the hair to be able to slide a little easier. The iron does have a lot of heat settings to choose from (1-15) but it does not tell you the temperature. Also, the power cord is very short - again, could be good or bad, depending on preference. I am returning.

Pros:
Price. Lightweight. Well built. Fast heat up. Adjustable heat with a button for extra heat. Easy to use. Cool tip. Swivel cord end and quite a long cord
Cons:
I would suggest using a
heat-resistant pad to place it on since it tips forward onto a rest piece that is only about 3/16" high and the surface below gets very warm.

The design is nice and it is pretty easy in use, the only one inconvenience I've found is you can't see a temperature in Fahrenheit/Celsius, but it is fine because you can adjust temperature and find the one is suitable for your hair type. Also the price is great.
