These days, we're seeing a lot of great game shows make it to the computer like Family Feud and Deal Or No Deal do very well. But, we often do seem to forget about the classics that influenced us for so long. ne of the most forgotten game shows of all time, Concentration, has delivered so well on television back in the 1960's, 70's and 80's and early 90's with Alex Trebek and other hosts. But, the show has been off of television for so long, it can be really difficult to make a great game shine again, and this game may prove part of that point for your computer.

Concentration for the P.C., takes the classic NBC game show into your hands. The game is very simple with memory, as you try to make as many matches as possible for prizes. Once you match a pair from the 25 squares on the board, it will open up to display a part of a rebus puzzle that you could possibly solve. There are around 100 different puzzles to solve in the game that could be a saying, a person, or a title. The graphics really work nicely, but there are very few puzzles, which can quickly make the gameplay seem a bit tiring after awhile, even though it is fun to enjoy all over again.

All in all, I was just hoping Concentration would be more exciting for the home computer, but it is a fairly good reintroduction to one of the most delightful game shows of all time. I haven't seen the show on television in years, but it was a joy to watch. If you haven't ever watched the game show during its era on television in years, than you might be interested. Otherwise, lets hope for a better sequel than can be a better match.

I was excited to get this game. I didn't know if it would work with Vista or not, everything is a gamble when it comes to Vista it seems. This will not work on Vista.

A good solid game. Puzzles come in three levels of difficulty. I enjoyed this game show as a kid and this pc game does bring out the shows qualities. No problems loading and playing the game using windows xp.

I remember playing Concentration as a kid. And I loved watching the show on TV. This PC version brings back lots of great memories for me. I had a blast figuring out the rebus puzzles. And my kids were much better at finding the matches than I. Overall, a terrific rendition of a classic American game show.

When I was young we would watch this show on TV. Then later we would play it on the computer, but we couldn't use a mouse. LOL This version is a very good update of this game! And it is some what harder in fact. I really like the memories from this purchase as well as the newer look of the game. I would recommend this game. Great family fun and it also teaches a younger audience logic.

I bought this product for two reasons...
First I use to play the game as a kid when it was on a scroll and small cards you placed on the grill over the screen.
I loved it...
I also purchased it to keep my mind working in the sense of guessing which space did I just see the item....
Both have met my expectations and it is neat to play against the computer.
So I rate it a 4 out of 5....

Concentration, the TV show, goes back to 1958 - before I was born (by one year). This PC version most closely duplicates the latest TV version of the late 80s and 90s that Alex Trebek hosted. The board has 25 squares (the original version had 30) and features a bonus round with eight cars. In that game, there are 15 numbers, and the last car left on the board that you match is what you win - if you do it in the time limit.

The regular game consists of matching prizes and revealing parts of a rebus puzzle that spell out a phrase or person's name with symbols and pictures. If you solve the puzzle before your opponent (or the computer), you win and get to keep the prizes you matched up on the board.

I think they did a good job of recreating the TV version, though I would have preferred 30 numbers on the board for the main game. If you play against the computer, you can set it at easy, medium or hard levels. Also, you don't need to stick the disc in every time to play. I enjoy this game, though I admit I haven't played it since I won the car in the bonus round over a year ago.
