Product Description
Notices before purchasing:
- Canon STM series lenses don't work with our Canon EOS (EF / EF-S) D/SLR Lens adapters.
- STM lens (such as EF 50mm f/1.8 STM, EF 18-135 IS STM) requires to be powered to drive the motor to focus, so cannot achieve focus with manual adapters.
- Manual adapters have no electronic contacts, which therefore don't support auto-focus or aperture control. K&F Concept lens mount adapters are all manual ones.
- Please figure out the mount of your camera and lens in case of buying the wrong adapter.

One, this is a "dumb" adapter in that it has no electronic components and thus there is no communications between the lens and the camera. That means that auto-focus, aperture adjustment and lens stabilization will NOT work. If you need those you need to look for some of the more expensive converters that contain electrical connections.
Two, your camera will not know a lens is attached so you need to make sure you can shoot "without a lens".
Third, since your lens becomes a strictly manual lens you can not adjust the aperture from the camera and you will either end up shooting wide open or you will have to set the aperture of your lens with the native camera for the lens and then find a way to dismount the lens without resetting the aperture. I do this with the DOF button on my Canon.
Lastly, you have to be prepared to focus manually. If your camera provides "focus peaking" you might want to use that to get your shots in proper focus.
If you are prepared to use your camera with the above restrictions this is a great little adapter and I have been able to use my EF lenses to good advantage and been very please with the results. The adapter seems solid and well made, but comes without any case or end caps to keep it clean and undamaged. Mine came in a plastic bag and I now store it, in my camera bag, in that plastic bag or leave it attached to one of my EF lenses in the lens case. Since this adapter fits an EF lens on one side and a M4/3 camera on the other you probably can also buy an Olympus lens end cap and the Canon camera body cap. That is what I plan to do to keep this clean.
Pros:
- Very good smooth paint finish
- All metal construction
- Durable (been using it over a year now)
- The lens screwed in the correct way (not upside down)
- Snug fit to my Lumix GH2, no jiggle.
I cannot find any Cons...this is just a beautifully made M42 to micro four 3rd lens adapter. Even the product packaging looks good. Highly recommended for those looking for M42 Screw Mount Lens to Micro 4/3 adapter. Now I can finally use my Yashica Yashinon-DS 50mm f/1.9 on my GH2. (I'll add photos when I can)
-Update: Over a year later & the adapter is still in very good shape! (04.24.2016)
EDIT 3/31/18: After toying around a bit, I've found a way to get this to work with my Canon 50mm. It involves attaching the lens to my T3i, obtaining focus, and then reattaching the lens to my G7. Sometimes the focus ring works, sometimes not, but after attaching the 50mm it will be in focus, though only at the exact focal distance (100mm for me due to 2x crop factor). I like this product enough that I ordered a few older Canon EF lenses, so I'm still a happy customer.

What a way to very affordably expand your collection of prime lenses! -Old Canon FD glass is all over eBay, all for around $50 to $80. (A year ago, it was even cheaper.)
I figured, "Why mess around with $1000 modern lenses? For a third of that cost I can get a collection of excellent primes." For a multi-camera studio setting where auto-focus is more an annoyance than a benefit, this has been a really rewarding option.
These adapters make that possible. I find it amusing to think that none of my old primes were ever intended for videography, but here they are!
Anyway, they work without flaw, are well-constructed and offer a tight fit, but as others have mentioned, they can be a bit fiddly to sort out how to make them function correctly with the F-Stop ring. (You have to install it in the "Open" and not the "Locked" position.)
