Though I couldn't find any reviews on any of the Amazon cites about what was on the DVD, I decided to purchase it to see what I would find. This DVD is from Germany (2005). The packaging says it is ALL Regions, however, it does not play in Region 1 which made is problematic for playing. I had to have the DVD transfered to Region 1 and with the extra expense it was still worth every penny. Though a lot of the old Creedence concert footage is clearly original footage it was still worth the purchase. The quality of the original footage certainly did not deter from the enjoyment of the DVD. The performances include 1. Down On The Corner; 2. Fortunate Son; 3. The Night Time Is The Right Time; 4. Proud Mary; 5. (Video in Cosmo's Factory) Looking Out My Back Door; 6. (Video) Sweet Hitch-Hiker; 7. Tombstone Shadow; 8. Travelin' Band; 9. Mignight Special; 10. Medley: Bad Moon Rising and Proud Mary; 11. Keep On Chooglin'; 12. Green River; 13. (John Fogerty Concert Special) Leave My Woman Alone; 14. Let's Go!; 15. Hoochie Coochie Man; 16. My Toot Toot; 17. (Bonus Track Video Clip) Vanz Kant Danz; 18. The Rodeo King (The Left Alone) (instrumental). Total Playing Time: 66 minutes All in all a great DVD if you can get it transfered to Region 1 or you have a multi-regional DVD player.

Glad to finally see something from CCR on DVD! I've been waiting for a long time to see a CCR DVD, and this one is pretty good, it has some great footage, the only problem though is that the film is so old it is often somewhat fuzzy at times. Yet, despite the fuzziness, I give it 4 stars because of the quality of CCR's music, which is self explanatory. Most the performances appear to have been culled from TV shows or such, but that was most of what there was back in the '60's and '70's. Nevertheless, great to see something, and I hope there is more CCR footage and films waiting to be released for all of us to see.

As mentioned elsewhere on many CCR DVD reviews, they were not around at the time of high quality video production and this DVD sadly affirms that. While the music always shines through the visual results are a very mixed bag. The CCR items are 6 lip syncs from US TV (the best by far being the Ed Sullivan Show item "Fortunate Son" and its amazing for that time lyric against the Vietnam draft) and seven tracks from their April 1970 Albert Hall concert (not in order as "Keep on chooglin''"always finished their set and John Fogerty allegedly refused to do an encore) plus very badly filmed and reproduced here with a couple of blips when playing. If the whole set was of this standard then I would be warning people off buying this DVD.

However, the real gems worth buying for are the John Fogerty videos of three TV studio live songs (Leave my woman alone, Lets go!, and Hoochie Coochie Man) with a back up band of Duck Dunn, Albert Lee and Booker T among others and a barbecue video of Rockin' Sidney's "My Toot Toot" with Sidney himself accompanying on accordion, plus the TV video to his record off "Centrefield" of "Vanz Kant Danz". This satire on Saul Zaentz the owner of Fantasy Records led to subsequent legal actions for defamation by Zaentz against Fogerty so for it to be still available in any form seems pretty amazing.

From the historical records there do seem better versions of the Albert Hall concert available and there are still Woodstock footage and a US TV special of their Oakland 1970 concert yet to be released - hopefully one day CCR's memory will be done proper justice?
