I purchased this blade to cut some 1/8" thick 6061-T6 aluminum angle. It cut smoothly for about 3 dozen cuts. But, when it suddenly lost a tooth it caused catastrophic failure. When the broken blade jammed into the angle it literally threw the hand bracing the work into the air as it mangled and twisted the angle. I was lucky that it only appears to have given me a serious hand bruise but it could have been much worse. Apparently one of the lagging teeth (see photo) broke off in the middle of the cutting operation and the rate of cut was just too much. I don't know if they warranty these blades but I'm not sure I want to test their quality again. Seems very risky; The worst part of this experience is the damage it did to my Makita 10" compound miter saw. The force literally bent the fence back about 1/8" in the center so now the back side of my work is not supported against the fence. If you know Makita, tools you know that will not be a cheap fix! My advice - beware of cheap blades for cutting metal. I could have sustained a much more serious injury and it damaged an expensive tool.

Do not purchase this product if you value your life. The teeth pack up very quickly.
After only one day of use this saw had completely failed, taking my saw with it, and nearly my life. I was cutting 1/8 aluminum angle on my chop saw. Made roughly 50 individually cuts before it completely failed. I huge section of teeth snapped off, throwing the piece of aluminum angle backwards into the saw and taking my hand with it. Scared the crap out of me, I’ve never had this happen.
Before this blade I just used a generic wood blade, made thousands of cuts with it without problems.
Just avoid this blade… You get what you pay for.

I was wary of getting this due to the price, but I got much more than I thought I would. There is a lot of difference in the shape of the cutters from a 'normal' blade so it definitely seems made for this specific task. It made excellent cuts in 1/4" aluminum plate using my table saw. Hopefully it will continue to give good service if I do not abuse it.

All in all, it's a decent blade, gets the job done - cuts aluminum. It came nicely packaged in thick cardboard "sleeve", with clear tubing protecting the teeth. 5 stars for packaging.
At my place, it will be used now and then for thin aluminum angle and strips.
Cuts are not clean, I have to use a file to clean them up and smooth the edges. Were I a professional, this would have been unacceptable, but since I am not, I can live with it (for a while, till perfectionism gets the best of me).
In the past I've used one much more expensive aluminum-cutting blade. We're talking close to $100, and smaller diameter (between 7" and 8" -can't remember exactly). Now, THAT blade... The resulting cuts were immaculate, smooth-edged and shiny (not dull and "barbed" as with the blade being reviewed), and did not require any further finishing work.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
If you're a hobbyist like me, needing to make a dozen cuts once in a blue moon, then save your money and get it.
If you're a professional, invest into something of better quality.

I don't use aluminum very much, but when I do, I would use my jigsaw or a masonry cut off disc to cut it. But that leaves a crooked edge that has to be sanded square. So I thought that I would spend some money on a metal cutting blade for my miter saw.....I just didn't want to spend a $100 dollars on a blade that I seldom use. This blade had an affordable price tag for me. So I took a chance and bought, and I'm very glad that I did! Oh man, it is so nice to cut aluminum so easily and precisely!. This blade cuts very nice. I've only used it a few times for cutting 1/8" thick sq tubing. I couldn't be happier with it.

I tried using this blade to cut aluminum. The noise was horrendous and the heat build up actually melted it instead of a clean cut. I then bought the Diablo blade which was quiet and cut the aluminum like butter. Don't waste your monet.

Worked very well on the DeWalt table saw we have. I used it to cut plastic/acrylic sheets without issues at all.

I bought this blade to trim aluminum framed top down/bottom up window shades that were slightly too wide for the windows. I didn't want to spend a lot, since I don't plan to make a habit of metal cutting, but wanted a clean finish from a dedicated non-ferrous metals blade. I was not disappointed. On my Ryobi table saw it cut cleanly through the crenelated channels of the shade frames, as well as the shade fabric. The aluminum itself was about 3/16ths of an inch thick. Four cuts, no problem, two through doubled frame pieces. If you need to make basic clean cuts in non-ferrous metals this blade is worth a look. It strikes me as a good value.
