Im not going to get into the story to ruin it for all gamers that don't want the story spoiled for them. Just know it is great and everything ties together. Search for clues to lead you further and further through the game. Is it scary? To most people yes, but I've so many horror games I don't believe I can get scared anymore. The game is not too dark to where you cannot see the character, but not too bright to where it isn't scary. Also, you do get a flashlight which you can turn on or off as you please. The game is played in first person. The only problem is that there is no multiplayer or coop player whatsoever. Once you unlock everything and beat the game you are pretty much finished with it. But its a lot of fun!

This is a very fun creepy game. It has a lot of moments when the bad guys jump out of corners and scare you, but then it has others moments when they will just run by you and you will not know where they went and 2 minutes later they are behind you hit you with a pipe. This game is very on edge game, it will keep you alert and focused on the task, plainly because you want to get out of where you usually are. In the game you have very limited weapons, so when you get a gun you really need to "praise" it in a sense. When I first started playing the game and I had found a gun I didnt know you could hit a button to turn it into a melee weapon so I had wasted all my bullets trying to shoot an enemy attacking me. After that I later found out that you could use a gun as a melee weopon. There are sometimes health pills that you take that you can find around as you are playing. Those have come so handy while I had been playing the game. I would be one hit away from death and those have saved me. The game also has great graphics.
Overall this is a great buy and you wont be dissapointed!

I loved playing this. Being a fan of horror games I liked the way the game used atmosphere and creep enemy that wait silently behind corners or sneak up behind you. For game that was made a while ago. It lives up to being one of the best horror games to date. Unless silent hills went into production again.

I have not finished it yet, but I really hope that they make a 3rd game in the future. It was well made from a company that doesn't even do horror games. Something konami and capcom could learn a thing or two from.

Recieved game and noticed a huge scratch on the disc. It would not play on my 360 and gave me an error code telling me the disc was dirty or damaged. If the seller had actually tested the product they would have known it was a defective product. I'm out $25 and will not buy from this seller again.

The price given is very competitive. The delivery cost is also very low. Delivery was faster than the estimated date. The packaging was alright. The box and manual are like ordinary 2nd hand items.

However the disc has a lot of permanent scratches. Including one round scratch, i doubt the disc can still be read in an ordinary XBOX 360 and playable till the end. I put the disc on XBOX ONE and downloaded the game data automatically from XBOX server, therefore it works fine as the disc is only used for authorizing the game playing.
I hope if the disc has scratches the seller could take a picture of it therefore the buyer already know what to receive and not putting high expectation on the item.

As soon as I put this game in, I felt the luminous dark shadow standing over my shoulder. As I got deeper into the immersive gameplay, I kept feeling reality slipping further and further away as the luminous shadow pulled me deeper down the rabbit hole. Soon, I realised the beautiful, cheerful world I had once known was gone. I was no longer this man from the city. I was now an FBI agent looking for the creatures lurking around every curve. I haven't gotten to the end of this crude, dark, and twisted reality, but as soon as I do you all will know. Wish me luck on my long endeavour.

まず真っ暗で怖い洋ゲーが好きな方はこんなレビュー見てないでさっさと買ってください。自分は真っ暗で怖い洋ゲーが大好きなのでなんとなく買いましたが、陰鬱な雰囲気、作り込まれたステージ、そして何より徹底した恐怖がかなり気に入っています。

北米版のため日本語字幕は出ませんが普通にプレイする分には問題ありませんし、現在日本版は価格が大変なことになっているので、特にこだわりがないのであればこの北米版の購入をお勧めします。

【戦闘】
真っ暗な場所で襲い来る気違いをそのへんに落ちてる鈍器でぶん殴ります。
武器は バール、パイプ、角材、マネキンの腕など多岐に渡り、たまに銃もありますが弾薬は殆どありません。
地味で爽快感は無い代わりに「殴ってる感」がかなり強く、嫌な手応えを存分に味わえます。

【グラフィック・ホラー要素】
北米で2005年にXbox360本体と同時に発売されたローンチタイトルなのでさすがに最近のと比べると劣りますが、タイルやコンクリートの質感などがかなり良く表現されており雰囲気は満点です。
歩く際も一歩一歩踏み出すかのように画面が揺れ、真夜中の地下鉄やデパート、学校のプールなど実に嫌な場所を頼りないライトで照らしながら歩く恐ろしさを充分に体験できます。これは本当に恐ろしいです。

【ボリューム】
やり込み要素は特に無く、自分は汗ダラダラかきながら恐る恐る進めてクリアまで10時間程度、＋収集物系に2時間程度で完全クリアしました。なので正直一度やったらそれっきりですが、個人的にはホラーゲームは周回プレイの面白味よりも初見でのインパクトが大事だと思うのでさほど気になりませんでしたし、逆に言えば簡単に全実績解除できてしまうので実績厨にはお勧めです。

「ホラー風アクション」が多い中、よくここまでやったというような凶悪なホラーで、少なくとも初見ではヒヤヒヤしながら楽しめる事間違いありません。

是非ヘッドホンを着用して真夜中にプレイして下さい。「進めたいけど怖すぎて進めない」という、ホラーゲームとして最高の体験を味わえます。
