I collect knives, axes, all sorts of bladed objects, and for usability and value nothing beats this tool. I'm looking forward to trying the mini parang.
I use this tool nearly every time I step outdoors. If I were stranded for a year in the woods, I'd still prefer an axe as there are things an axe can do this parang cannot. But I've never been stranded in the woods, and usually I pair the parang with a chainsaw. I can take the limbs off a 20" diameter tree with this with pleasure, and haul them to a burn pile. Anything too large for the parang gets cut with a chainsaw and becomes firewood. I used to take out a Helko axe to help limb the biggest pieces, but I finally admitted I was just trying to find a use for the axe.
If I could give it six stars I would.

In any event, I look forward to using this blade.

Diese wäre mir lieber gewesen. 4 Sterne, weil mir der Griff zu groß ausgelegt ist.
1075 Stahl für diese Zwecke ausreichend, denke ich.
