"...A great memoir that is more than just a story from a person, but rather a real honest slice of life journey. It's not just funny and entertaining; the book delivers the entire human experience. Each page feels like you are with Susan as she recounts each story. I'm not really a golfer or hardcore sports fan, but I still found the subject engaging due to Susan's skill as a writer. The book almost has a soul unto itself. Each page drips with realism and passion. From beginning to end, the book is an amazing read and a hole in one for Susan Fornoff."

Ms. Fornoff is a talented writer who makes her points with a putter, not a driver...she's mastered just the right amount of speed to curl the ball into the cup, with all the breaks perfectly read. But despite my use of the obligatory golf analogy, I agree with other reviewers that non-golfers will enjoy her book as well.
By the way, I plan to recommend "Confessions" to my wife, with the secondary motive of encouraging her to finally agree to take up golf!
Confessions of a Golf Slut is heart-warming, well-written, full of golf anecdotes, and an incredible saga of online dating. Bonus: she offers a golf tip on improving your chances for a hole in one from a man who has sunk over 15 of the gems. Susan epitomizes the term, golf slut, based on her LOVE for the game, her willingness to play any course, anywhere, in any kind of weather. She’ll join a threesome or bring her own. Susan’s zest for life comes through in every chapter. This memoir often reads like a travelogue. I related to her visits to Charleston, Pinehurst, Monticello, the Phillips Collection, and seeing Wicked in NYC.
Men and women, golfers and non-golfers will appreciate Susan’s ability to bounce back from adversity whether it was from divorce, dating challenges, work problems, or those pesky double bogeys.
I want to applaud Susan for “opening the kimono”. That can be a risky thing to do, but her honesty and transparency just makes you want to be her friend and share her journey through life's ups and downs.
Although any woman would enjoy this book, for women golfers, it's a "must read"
