"[The book] is a straight-talking quest to transform terrible resumes into terrific ones. Like any good teacher, [Brisson] includes ample checklists, samples, mini-assignments, and a healthy dose of encouragement." -One Day Magazine
"Although I have been teaching for six years, I barely received invitations to interview for jobs. After completing all of the chapter exercises in "Confessions of a Teacher Recruiter" and submitting my resume, I've received three invitations to start the interview process. Thank you!" -Elisar, Atlanta Teacher

I am a recent college grad and I went to school to become a teacher. I am not in my twenties- I'm older. Both of my parents are retired teachers. I thought finding a teaching position would be easy after I graduated. Not the case.
I had applied for over 75 jobs in my area and never even got the interview. I read the first few chapters of this book, tweaked my resume the next day, and got hired within a week after sending out my resume to a new batch of districts.
A lot of this is by chance, but this book will help.
While some of the advice is tried and true, she offers new insights into how to get past the electronic gatekeeper. She also offers examples to show precisely what a resume, under her tutelage, will come to look like. By applying her insights, you increase your chances. Who doesn't need to increase their chances?
For the amount she charges, this book is extremely useful. An absolute steal.
