Wow. What a book. Nicolas Cole, I commend you and I thank you.

Let me start by saying I bought your book earlier today; and I just finished it. That's right! I read the entire damn thing in a day. Your writing style was captivating to me and, as a formal WoW player with MANY similarities, hit me on an empathetic level that is hard to express. Thank you for brutally honest insight into all these intimate aspects of your life. Thank you. Carrying through with your 'writers affliction' probably took more courage than most of us here can fathom.

I'm an avid follower of you on Quora and your answers always give me perspective and insight into my own mind, my own behaviours, my own emotions and actions. I connect with them. You have a talent for not only writing, but for empathy and perspective; keep pushing for those ever-higher goals, Cole.

A truthful and inspiring coming of age story. Cole's writing style is fun and keeps you entertained. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who felt misunderstood growing up, and to every parent who didn't understand what the heck was wrong with their kid.

A radical voice in a generation that longs to be heard..

"Confessions of a Teenage Gamer" confronts many of the hardships being a teenager looking for somewhere to belong, as told in the eyes of an underrepresented, and often misunderstood demographic.

Somehow one evening, I've managed to stumble upon one of the hundreds of chapter drafts written by Nicolas Cole while looking for a personal story I could relate myself to. It's been a long five years of being trapped, alone and misunderstood. Reading his book has helped me justify the value of those years, and hopefully this book will be an inspirational read for anyone stuck in the same position, or anyone looking for a voice to sympathize with.

For those still on the fence, considering how long it took Nicolas Cole to write "Confessions of a Teenage Gamer" (5 years), I assure you, taking a few moments to check out this book would NOT be a waste of your time.

First book, and a great one at that.

Nicolas Cole is an excellent writer with a great way with words, I have been following him on Quora for a very long time. I've had this book for just over a day now (purchased off his website) and have already read a large chunk of it. It's addicting and an exceptional piece of work. I would recommend this book to anyone.
