Buy direct from the factory and save! customer comments: I just wanted to let the staff at golf outlets know that I love my elliptical bike. This particular bike is really a smooth ride and easy on the ankles, knees, hips and back. I've attached some before and after pictures so you can see what this machine did for me!!! A colleague of mine was so impressed at how fast i lost the weight he came over my house to see this machine that I'd been talking about, it took him all of 30 seconds of riding it before he asked me where he could purchase one! Enjoy a total body workout without leaving the home with this Confidence two-in-one elliptical cross trainer and exercise bike. Designed to provide a low-impact cardiovascular workout for all family members regardless of ability level, the trainer is ideal for event training, rehabilitation, and plain-old cardio fitness. At first glance, the unit resembles a standard elliptical trainer, with a pair of footpads that move in a natural elliptical motion, along with a set of arm poles that move in conjunction with your legs. The smooth, fluid movement will tone your arms, chest, back, hips, legs, and glutes while providing a low-impact workout that's five times as efficient as walking. The trainer's a step above most units, however, thanks to the addition of an adjustable seat, which adds more variety to your workouts. As a result, you can turn your trainer into an upright exercise bike and exercise while standing or sitting. The trainer also strides in both forward and reverse to add even more variety.

The Confidence trainer includes an adjustable resistance dial to keep you challenged, along with a four-function onboard computer that tracks your time, speed, distance, and calories. And at 34 by 60 by 24 inches (W x H x D), the trainer won't take up a ton of room in your basement or garage. The Confidence two-in-one trainer offers a maximum capacity of 250 pounds and weighs 65 pounds by itself.

Needs to be fixed.
I really did not want to write a bad review on this elliptical because I had such high hopes for it. First off when I received it and took it out of the box, the right plastic side where the logo is was cracked. (i will post photos of all the problems) but I figured it was something easily replaceable, they could just send me a new cover and I could put it on. Also, the knob that turns the seat was completely broken. The instructions were a little hard to understand, but if you have put things together before it really isn't hard to put together. When everything was put in, it was already late to exercise but it did pretty well for the couple steps I tested. The next day I worked out and not even 20 minutes the wire that connects from the spinner (I don't know why they would even attach it right next to it) ripped. you can see that it completely ripped and now spins with wheel. I figured I have my own monitor that I wear anyways, so I really don't need it. Then about 5 more minutes into it a bolt fell out. With a silver latch?(not sure exactly what it is) and now it doesn't even move. I'm going to call the USA hotline that came on the instructions and see what they can do about it. If they can send me the pieces so I can fix it myself or send me a new one, and have great customer service, I will definitetely be updating my review, because I do like the machine, but nothing was right about it.

A childhood injury hampered athletic activities, constant pain - As an adult a less active life style allowed extra pounds to accumulate which aggravated the condition. I tried numerous pieces of equipment to no avail. I muscle tested before purchasing the elliptical. My body said, this would work; and it is. I am really glad I choose the 2 in 1 because I can sit until I build up my stamina, which is accruing faster than I had anticipated. It had a function issue after 4 days use; a thin washer broke and it developed an awful squeak. I contacted the company, (very nice & responsive) they sent me two washers. It turned out they were not the correct one's. I contacted the company again. Spoke to a prats rep. this time, he knew exactly what was required to complete the repair, the parts arrived and the Elliptical is working perfectly. I love the fact that after only 3 1/2 weeks of using the machine 5 days a week for, in a progressive 4 to 15 minutes (so far)I was able to swim one lap, pain free, in a standard size pool; doesn't sound like much, however, I was not able to swim before without extreme pain. Marked improvement at a pace my body can handle. What a marvelous gift.

The reviews here combined with the price are what convinced me to purchase this... and after receiving it, I can say the reviewers are right on! The instructions are weird and spotty, mostly because the number labels don't match the parts. The parts have been labeled with L and R and all the bolts/nuts are preassembled which makes it super easy if you pay more attention to that than the written instructions and diagrams, which are only slightly helpful. Struggled a little with the "friction"... definitely needed Vaseline or WD40 and also to loosen some other elements so I could reduce the tension when attaching the pedal arms. (do pay attention to that part of the instructions)

As far as the working feel of it... the pedal position is strange to me when sitting on the bike, it forces you to point your toes more than you normally would when biking. I think this can be resolved not by blocking up the frame of the bike (as other reviewers have done), but by perhaps by putting a wedge under the toes when biking. The elliptical position and movement seems really good, very natural. I do find it a bit hard to get the pedals moving even with the belt loose and on the easiest setting... this is not a machine for someone who is in weak physical condition. Once it's going, it's great.

The bike is heavy and solid... doesn't feel tippy or cheaply made. Seems to me that it's also got potential for DIY repairs if it should eventually break... the large plastic pedals could be replaced with wood, and the belt is simply nylon webbing. This really is an amazing value... it was also shipped immediately, I received it so quickly, much faster than the typical Amazon free shipping!

I purchased the Confidence Fitness 2-in-1 on August I received the Confidence Fitness 2-in-1 on August 28, 2011. It took under an hour to put together. I have put together an Elliptical Trainer prior to my purchase of this one
I have used it five times. I will not be using it a six time.
I read the review first and noted the `wobbled' which was posted in one of the reviews. The review read `it wasn't that bad.' Another review posted that one's foot is pushed forward while using this machine.
The price won me over and I ordered the1 Confidence Fitness 2-in-1. BIG MISTAKE! If you enjoy cardio THISIS NOT the fitness machine that you need. The wobble is only on the Elliptical machine and it cannot be adjusted. I put it on a fitness exercise mat, it wobbled .I put an elevated board underneath it, in the front of the machine, to raise it off the floor. This board is 4 inches high and the Elliptical Trainer stills wobbles and my feet were still pushed forward! Even when the front of the Trainer is elevated from the front!
I am 5'8' tall and the Upright Bike cannot be raised high enough for me to get a good extension on my legs, like the upright bikes at the gym. I had to use a miniature telephone book on the seat. This made for an uncomfortable ride.
The third time I used the Elliptical trainer, I heard a squeak. I had to dismount, remove the bolt from the right pedal and apply lubricate, which got all over my hand. Put the bolt back in and attempted to complete my routine. I was just fed up trying to use the Elliptical trainer and did not complete that routine and the thought of trying to use the Upright completely turned me off.
The fourth and fifth time, I used the Elliptical machine was just awful. The elevated machine just wobbled and both times I did not even complete a 30 minute routine.
I going to a well know sports store today, Friday October 7, and purchase a dual trainer. I am going to dismantle the `Confidence Fitness 2-in-1'and throw it away. My conscience will not allow me to give it to anyone. I don't HATE anyone enough to put them through the ordeal I have suffered.
Please DO NOT PURCAHSE THIS MACHINE, it is a waste of money

Nice machine that offers forward and reverse cycling/elliptical training. If you are wondering if this is worth the price, don't worry; it is worth the price.

As usual with these machines, the set-up is a pain. The instructions are not clear. Another minus is no heart rate monitor.
Also, remember to adjust the strap on the wheel to correct the tension you need.
You may also consider gluing the foot caps as they have popped off a couple times.
You may also consider a gel pad for the seat.

Used this maybe 10x. 3 different parts broke. Made with cheap plastic screws and bolts that snap and break, and good luck finding replacement parts anywhere even if you wanted to. Might work alright if you weigh like 100 pounds, otherwise, it's just not sturdy enough at all.
