I purchased these clubs a few years ago when I was only playing 2-3 times a season. They are not a bad set but if you know anything about golf, you'll know a set with a bag for this cheap is like seeing a brand new car for $2,000 - You're not getting a deal, you're getting what you pay for.
As I began playing more and more, the faces of the irons began to wear a bit but the real dilemma is once you hit a certain level of improvement, a set of clubs like this will begin to hold you back and exacerbate your swing flaws. As you get better, and more confident, a more expensive set of clubs will be needed to give you the boost you need to get past your minor flaws and begin to learn shot shaping and take on a more advanced approach to the game. If you plan on becoming a serious golfer (not talking score, but frequency of play), then it would serve you better to take some short lessons and understand how to strike the ball well, and purchase a nicer set. If you are truly brand new, these clubs will be great because it is everything you need. I am not bashing these clubs by any means, think of these like a first car at 16, not something that you want to keep forever.
