L.A. Confidentiel: Les secrets de Lance Armstrong Pocket Book – June 2, 2006

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 23 ratings

Given the date of publication of this book way ahead of the confessions of Lance Armstrong, there is no doubt that there was a massive cover up going on at all levels of the sport. LA was too much of a drawcard to be exposed and he probably knew it; hence his cockiness. If one considers that the 7 wins of LA were reversed followed by landis and Contador equates to 9 out of 12 winners (75%) being disqualified in the last 12 years. What a farce.

LA's downfall was a huge disappointment for me and, sadly, the Tour will never be more than a great sight seeing tour of France by a bunch of druggies.

Bonne lecture.

The shocking documentation of the Armstong reign in the USPS/Discovery Team and the early proofs of his doping practices. Armstrong should act like a man and apologise to the authors and congradulate them on their investigations!
