Good for normal size heads

While these are cute and work well, if your toddler/kid has an above average head size they don't adjust super big. My almost 3 year old has a head in the 99th percentile and they barely, and I mean barely, cover his ears fully extended.

I've got this for my 3 years old who likes to listen jazz and classic music (yeas it's I think little rare but we may have a lil concerto soul kids) weirdly, and so watching some peppa pig on a tablet or the car tv when travelling. It turned out that we have been using this headphone very often and it sure get dropped off or pulled off or you know what 3-4yr old can do with it or how rough they do use things most the time.

First pair early quit working on us lasted about couple months and one side gave up. I reached out the manufacturer and they immediately send us a replacement. Which is fantastic, rare to get customer service on many brands even big name brands, these guys were once e-mail and they responded within 8 hours.

replacement lasted just about 1 year and one side died on us again, like the first pair failed early.
quick facts:
Pros:
-Very affordable pricing for this quality
-Fantastic volume limitation, just as perfect
-Plenty of noise reduction but kids can still hear you while full volume on
-No static noise
-Sharing port extremely useful and smart idea
-Smooth edges and smooth surface
-Durable body, chassis and casing
-Durable braided wire with 3.5mm jacks
-Good flex on top shaft, it won't break easily
-Folding phones are just excellent, compact and ergonomic
-Quality material

Cons:
-I am not sure if they quality of the speakers or the coil on the speakers, they do not last!
-First pair failed in less than 3 months, second pair (warranty replacement) lasted little less than a year. Not sure how many times they can replace it.

Conclusion:
I don't mind buying one pair a year or one pair every 18 months but if I need to replace them every 6-8 months, I would rather buy somewhere else that it will last longer. Because it sucks when it quits working on you while travelling 18hrs and where you cannot get another one middle of nowhere.

I highly suggest that they really need to run some extensive quality assurance - quality control tests to see what causes them to fail, a good test case with applied stress tests will definitely pin point the weak spots on these. Possibly better quality speakers should increase the general lifespan.

It also would be nice to have where you can buy siblings package, a set with 2 or 3 or 4 headphones in one package with enough wires and a good affordable price. Where families with multiple kids can buy, so they don't have to pay full price 3 - 4 times, instead they could be little cheaper than buying one at a time.

Overall, I definitely suggest these headphones but the longevity really depends of the usage. Don't expect to use them 3 years, you're lucky if they last a year or longer.

I am so happy with these. They are easy to use for my 5 year old and I specifically wanted WIRED headphones. We tried Bluetooth in the past but it’s too complicated to connect for her, where as the wired gives her the independence to do it on her own. Great for our long road trips with her iPad. Don’t forget to order the iPad/iPhone adapter!

I am updating my review due to the unusual, and fantastic customer service I received from Jacquie at LilGadgets. She contacted me the same day after I left my original review. She apologized for the units failing, and stated that they have since improved the type of plastic used in the extendable arm area of the headphones. I can not confirm this, however, because she graciously sent me their higher end "Pro" version as the new replacement units... New! LilGadgets Connect+ Pro Premium Volume Limited Wired Headphones with SharePort for Children (Purple) .

I left my original review on 4/26/17, and I already have in hand the new replacement units 1 week later. Amazing! The new ones are slightly more robust, and have a steel insert in the plastic extendable arm. I am confident that these will last significantly longer than the original units.

As I said in my original review, we loved everything about these headphones except for the fact that the plastic failed in a vulnerable area. Jacquie did state that the plastic was now stronger in this area, so I would not hesitate to give the LilGadgets Connect+ Premium Volume Limited Wired Headphones with SharePort for Children - Blue another chance. Especially, since this company has proved to stand behind their products.

However, now that I have the Pro versions in hand, I would highly recommend spending the additional cost since they a steel insert. Worth the piece of mind.

Original Review - 4/26/17 - Love them! Until they break...

We started out loving these, but soon realized that for the money they do not last long enough. I do not actively review products on Amazon, but always utilize them in my research before making a purchase decision. In this case I felt that it was necessary for others to be aware that these headphones break easily from normal use. The headphones work great when new. We purchased 3 pairs about 9 months ago,and all three broke ... two within 6 months, and the third just a few weeks ago. We Loved them while they worked. The share port is great when you have multiple little ones in the car. Unfortunately, all three pairs failed due to a bending, and finally breaking, of the extending arm attached to each earpiece. Each pair developed the bend / crease at the plastic extension arm from the normal use of putting the headphones on, and then taking them off, the head/ears. This motion is necessary, repetitive, and normal, so it should not cause the unit to fail. This happened to first three pairs we purchased. Initially our kids enjoyed the units so much, that when the first unit failed we purchased a fourth. Soon there after the other two broke, so we are not replacing them. The fourth unit is about 4 months old now, and we are trying to be extremely careful so that this pair lasts significantly longer than the last three.

The company needs to change the plastic extending arms to a flexible metal so that it can absorb the motion of putting them on, and taking them off the head. Also, worth mentioning, the wires for two of the units also failed. Love the fact that they are not permanently attached to the unit itself, but unfortunately, we had to purchase replacement wires within a few months.

Below is the original review I did but have since increased rating as the company were very swift to honor their warranty and replace my broken set with their next range up which seems to have a more reinforced arm for the headphones so hopefully this issue won’t occur again. I leave rating as 3 for this particular product but recommend trying the + headphones instead

Both of these units that we bought for our kids Xmas presents broke within 3 months - the plastic part that pulls down was too flimsy and snapped on both of them. Also, they were quite small and even my 4 year old found them small and they barely covered her ears so she found it hard to hear
