Great love story, well written with characters I felt were so real that I was "in" the novel with them. Its took a while to get going, lots of sweetness and hot romance and I was waiting (as you do) for some action, tear jerking, drama - you kow how the format goes :) and got over 60% and the two leads were still happy, only had a couple of minor hiccups so i decription didn't say series, dou, trilogy...surely its going to be a complete novel. But the begining mentioned another character and some strange actions and we've gone no further with that yet - times getting short.
Anyway, cut to the chase, yes the big drama happens right at the end and Damn It - cliffhanger ending and autumn to wait til next book out. WHY WHY WHY do authors do this? I feel I wasted hours reading this yesterday as I don't enjoy book without an ending, and when i know the whole story means more than one book i try to wait til they're all out before reading.
Ending it in limbo really spoils my enjoyment :( unless its a complete book with paret two picking up but proper story closure in part one. So many authors seem to be using cliffhangers and i know i'm not alone in hating them! I even flick to end before starting a book often just to check, of course this one didn't suggest that may be the case so i didn't bother...wish I had. I'd have gone for 5 stars if not for the fact its only part of the story. Please Authors - tell us if your book is only part of a stroy. At least we can chose then whether to wait til its complete rather than wasting time and feeling conned.

The only reason I didn't cancel my purchase was because only verified purchasers can write reviews. And I feel strongly about this book. The positives:

* The writing style is very good (it flows, character development is good)
* There weren't any annoying typos, which can yank you right out of the story when there are enough of them

The negatives:

* There was practically no plot. Boy meets girl, girl's fiance dies under slightly suspicious circumstances, and then there was no further tension until more than halfway through the book. Then there's a bit more plot (not much). I kept hoping there would be SOMETHING. Something involving the vintage t-shirts, maybe? The sister Bell? Something beyond the yadda yadda about the evolving love interest. Because several hundred pages of two people reconnecting after five years and falling in love, knit together by sex scenes, no matter how hot, does not a book make. Plus, the journal's 'here's how we're going to let the reader in on what's really going on' device towards the end was cheesy-easy.
* This story chopped off in the middle, making it crystal clear that you have to pay for the sequel to find out what happens to the characters. Online writers these days seem to be trending toward not wrapping up their stories, as a 'hook' to get you to buy the sequel. A quality author doesn't do this. There should be some kind of decent ending. Don't fall for it. This wasn't written well enough to be worth it, and I'm opposed on principle.

Just typing his name and picturing him in my head and I am SWOONING!
I get a little dizzy just thinking about him. Certain areas of my body are trembling right now! ( In a very Good WAY!) Thanks River!

OK, If you have not guessed yet I am in LOVE and LUST with this book!
It broke my Heart, and then put it back together ! There is a lot of Love in this book and so much LUST LUST!
Really enjoyed both touching love stories in this book! YES that is right two wonderful, hot amazing love stories! I fell in love twice and was so happy to do it. Now if you love a great story with a touch of spice. Then this not the book for you. Because this book is so Spicy and Steamy it will leave you wet in all the right places!!
Amazing love scenes in this book. HOT HOT!

Dahlia is a great female lead. She has sass, spunk and wicked sense of humor! She has a lot of devastating blows handed to her in this book. The author does a great job of making the story true to both grief and devastation of losing someone. HINT; Tissues will be needed! But Dahlia is strong and really never gives up! LOVE HER!

BEN: Great first lead. You really connect and fall for him . You really see how good he was for Dahlia at the time in her life when she really needed him. He is flawed and makes mistakes that will end up hurting both Dahlia and himself.

Now to the Fun Part!

I dare you not to fall in love with this Rockstar! He just the best thing in this book, Sweet, strong, tender and so Damn HOT! He is the perfect man for Dahlia. The instant connection they have is so Once in a lifetime. You actually feel it.

There are a couple of things I want to mention before I get into this review. First off, I need to tell you that when you finish the Epilogue, you will say to yourself HOLY CRAP or something of that variety. This book's ending There is a cliffhanger per se, but trust me when I say that it made the book THAT MUCH BETTER! Yes, there is going to be a second book. Do I recommend you wait to read this book until the second one comes out - NO! This book is so good that you need to read it now. This brings me to the second point, once you finish this book you will need at least a day or two to detox from it and process what you read. I finished this book weeks ago and it has still been on my mind.

Dahlia has been with her boyfriend, Ben, for as long as she can remember and she loves him. Then one night at a bar she meets River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, and their connection was instantaneous and it confused the crap out of Dahlia. Despite their connection, Dahlia knew she couldn't act on her feelings, heck she didn't even understand her feelings, so she left and returned to Ben.

Years later, Dahlia's life is marred by tragedy, but she finds herself face to face with River Wilde once more. And even though years have pasted since that one night, the connection is still there - this feeling like they were soul mates. This book was a love story told so beautifully you were completely caught up in these characters.

Despite being a love story, there were some...odd occurrences. I say odd because while I was reading I had no idea why some of these random things kept happening. But rest assured, there is an answer and the ending will shed light on some of the more curious happenings.

Now let me address the ending a little bit more.
