It has several different sets of holes to choose from to get it aligned.
And I really like the 19 pin connector that plugged right into my new ASUS motherboard.
Some motherboards, like the ASUS P8Z68-V Deluxe, were bundled instead with a device such as this SYBA Connectland. It is not a "hub;" it is instead a 2-port connection for a front-panel access to the resources provided by the 20-pin motherboard port. Wey-ull, Pilgrim! How many USB3 ports do you really NEED all at once?! This device provides you as many ports as you would find on an older-gen case-front-panel for USB2. No complicating electronics: just two reliable USB3 connections to either a motherboard or an add-in PCI-e USB3 controller.
And -- this is a less expensive solution than some 4-port hubs.
The only thing a bit funny is the face plate has a slight backwards slope to it, presumably to make access easier. Because of this, it did not mount exactly flush in my drive bay.
