Both books in this series have been great. The characters are all so much fun. The Brannock brothers are hot! And yes, I'm including Lucas because he's family.

Conall is a cop whose new job is to protect a witness for an upcoming trial. He knew the minute he saw her picture she was trouble. Not necessarily bad trouble, but trouble for his heart. When he sees her in person for the first time, he's nearly speechless. She's beautiful, but he keeps reminding himself his job is to protect her, nothing more.

Emily parents weren't nice people and were killed when she was eighteen in a car accident leaving her to get custody of her thirteen year old brother. She tried her best to show him love and raise him right, but he always ended up in trouble. This time, it's deadly. Emily will do anything to protect him, even if it means lying and putting herself in danger.

The chemistry between Con and Emily is intense. Both feel it, and both try to deny it. Emily finds herself falling in love not only with her protector Con, but his family also. They all see it, but Con is determined to do his job, even though his heart is telling him otherwise. How can he protect Emily though when she's not completely honest?

I absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait to read Gus' book and see more of these wonderful characters.

Liked this one from the first page. Of course I've also read Leverage.

Connall Brannock is a cop. He gets assigned a bodyguarding gig. He's not keen on it but an assignment is an assignment.

He gets the file on his charge. He also gets a photo. WOW. He's looking at one beautiful woman. Emily Dawson by name.

Seems Em witnessed a murder involving the brother of a mob boss. The brother is in jail and the mob boss wants Em dead. One officer has already been wounded defending her. The police got the job of keeping Em safe till the trial. Con's boss gave the assignment to Con.

Con isn't a player but he's had his share of flings with beautifull women. He also had one special woman who broke his heart. Something he will never forget when dealing with women.

Con is 6'3" and one drool worthy guy. He's also one hell of a cop.

Emily Dawson is blonde with green eyes and one hell of a body. She's also living a lie for the sake of her brother. A lie which will get folks hurt and has the potential to get her killed.

So begins one damned fine read.

This one has Con, Em, Gus, Liam, Luke, Ash, the importance of family, Ems brother Rayce, a mob boss, lies, deceit, a Con dealing with his feelings for Em and one pretty damned fine story with one hell of an ending and a good guy no one could have seen coming

Five Stars and then some

I have so many favorite authors that the list seems to go on and on. However, after having tripped over a Jessica Wilde book, she has shot to the very top of my list! The proof is that this is the first review I have ever written.

I love romance books and read probably about 25 per month. While the stories are usually well written and interesting, Jessica's books made me sit up and take notice in that she has great flow, character building and FINALLY a writer that has common sense writing. So often, I read some of these stories and in the back of my head I'm pfffting what the characters are doing and thinking "Why didn't you just do this or say this, you dummy?" Jessica's characters actually jump to task and do what you need them to do when you need them to do it in the story line.

The humor makes me laugh out loud, the ever present "sex" happens at the right time in the relationship and the intrigue is concluded in a realistic manner rather than in a drawn out way that leaves a reader frustrated with the characters actions.

The Brannock Siblings series is fun to read with hot, alpha men (and women) and makes you yearn to be a part of their family from the very beginning with Ash and Luke in 'Leverage' to Conall and Emily in 'Conned'. I always love stories that share both female and male POVs and Jessica delivers on both fronts. The series next installment also gives you that look into the previous book's characters storyline like an always sought after extended epilogue that readers love by including those characters within the next book of the series while still being a stand-alone story. Gotta LOVE that!

I can't wait for Gus's (and I'm guessing Aiden's) story in 'Missing'!

Conned is centered around Conall and Emily but still involves the rest of the family as well. The Brannock men are HOT (yes, including Liam)! Con is the more stoic of the bunch and takes his job very seriously when he is assigned to protect a witness for an upcoming trial.
Emily is placed into witness protection and, due to unfortunate events, is relocated under Con's charge. He will do everything to protect her because it's his job but he begins to have feelings for Emily. He fights his feelings because he has a job to do and anything beyond that "doesn't matter". Con's character is sexy because he's so protective over everyone he loves and the way he adores Emily makes me swoon! I enjoyed their story and being able to catch up with the rest of the Brannock family.
