great to adapt 2 hp dust collector for startup amps

I used this to wire up my 2 hp dust collector to code. My dust collector uses a standard 115v wall plug, but on startup can pull greater than 20 amps. I installed a 30 amp line, and wanted it to be to code, so I put in the 30 amp twist lock receptacle, and then just used this adapter so that I could keep the original cable. This has been working great, and the dust collector has never tripped the breaker or overheated this fitting.

I bought this plug so I could convert the twist-lock plug on the generator to a 3-prong plug. It worked just fine when I plugged an outside refrigerator and stand-up freezer into the plug with the generator running and the total load was about 11amps. This plug works for what I need it for.
