Camco 55194 50 AMP 15' PowerGrip Extension Cord to go with it. Drilled a hole thru laundry wall into garage and it functions as

works perfectly. Just be sure to kock your amps down to 24 before using or else you will blow your breaker. The tesla will geolocate the amp setting after the first few times and will use it automatically. just be sure to check each time, some reports of the setting being removed under certain circumstances.

This is exactly what I needed. Been using it for 3 weeks, and it's amazing! I no longer have to wait in line at those supercharger stations. With this, I just drive into my garage (rear first). Then, I use this plug and connect it to the dryer outlet, which is located next to my garage. I set my car's Amp to 25, and after 2 hours of charging, I get about 50 to 55 miles. By the way, I wanted to test what would happen if I set the Amp to 40, and sure enough, it tripped my circuit breakers each time. For me, 25 Amps is optimal.

So I've been using this adapter every day for a year to charge my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with no problems at all. It's so nice to have the van charge in 2 hours without having to install anything in garage, as compared the 14 hours with a regular plug. I also took the advice of a previous reviewer to extend the length with a Camco 50A cord, and that was good advice to get the charge to the driveway when we parked the van I the driveway. Overall I'm very happy.

Not good for Tesla 3

I have a tesla 3 and bought this adapter based on the reviews it worked the first time and then the next couple times it has been turning the circuit off. I was told the circuit on the car is turning off. I had it set at 24A as listed on the reviews. I called tesla support but they recommended to try the tesla adapter and if this doesn't work then I most likely need to change the voltage in the garage.
Any suggestions?

Works great with my Tesla Model S

This charged by Tesla Model S overnight from 40 miles to 260 miles in about 8 hours. I was getting about 23 miles per hour at points! On average I may have got 17 mph but I saw 23 several times. You don't need to upgrade to a 60amp line if you can use your dryer 30 amp and drive less than 160 miles or so a day. Love it and it got here fast. Awesome.
