About the Author
A lifetime New Englander, Suzanne married her college sweetheart and has been with him for over twenty years. Every summer she drags her husband and two daughters to Maine on a quest for the perfect lobster dinner. Every fall she can be found down in Foxboro, Massachusetts cheering on her favorite football team. In between those trips, she’s a chauffeur, a maid, a chef, an event planner, a hairdresser, a wardrobe stylist, a tutor and a sometimes masseuse. To keep her sanity, she often drinks copious amounts of coffee and stares at the blank screen of her laptop, dreaming of great adventures. Sometimes she even writes them down for others to enjoy.

The overall storyline was good, but I was a bit disappointed in the writing and editing. A lot of the same phrases and concepts were repeated throughout, the character names were mixed up in at least one scene, and there was a fair number of spelling and grammar mistakes throughout. It seems like maybe it was rushed into publication; a good final proofread and edit check would have fixed most of the problems and added a star to my rating.
One thing I really did like about this book is that it had a lot of positive threads in spite of the difficult situations the characters found themselves in: loyalty, trust, courage, and of course, true love. Among the romance, there is a fair number of moderately explicit scenes with relatively mild dom/sub overtones. Recommended for mature readers only.
After living with a biker gang for months in Rio, Manuel recruits Reya, a feisty heiress, to him unite the shifter tribes and finally rid them of the humans invading their home. It isn't long after the two begin to work together that they realize their attraction for one another and things start to heat up between them.
But the couple must face some issues as their relationship grows, and their relationship will definitely be tested. I won't give away any spoilers, so you'll have to read it for yourself to see what happens for them. But if you enjoy a fast paced, shifter romance with an HEA, then you should definitely check out this book. It's the second in the series, so I would recommend that you start with book one, Cria, which is also an awesome book that I really enjoyed.
Suzanne touches on many issues we face in the "real world" such as honesty, loyalty, duty, and women's equality. At the heart of this story, true love must find a way to prevail, even when the odds are against it.
I loved this book. It is one I will read over and over.
