The trilogy, while quite original, is a book you can put down. I even fell asleep reading Book 3 last night.
The lack of editing is still a problem with missing words, punctuation, inaccurate grammar and awkward sentence structure. It is very noticeable and causes your brain to slip a gear while you are trying to get into the story.
I won't say it was a waste of money but neither do I feel that it was money well spent. I am sure that I will not be buying anymore of the author's books.
I am sure she has fans that will tear my reviews apart. That's how it should be. If we all liked the same authors what a boring world this would be! I just cannot put her in the same league as Joseph Heller, L.T. Ryan, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Heather Killough-Walden, Veronica Roth, Guillermo del Toro, Brad Thor, Shelley Crane or J.D. Robb, etc.....

I have constantly stated that I'm only reading this series to get the info on Olivia and Holden, and I guess, in the long run, I'm satisfied that I now know the answers. To save you money, let me present a few plot spoilers:Holden and Olivia are soul mates who discovered each other when she was alive. Her special powers come from the fact that she is an angel who chose to become a fallen angel in order to discover what evil was happening with the Guardian elders. There are two Guardians who are working against mankind and Olivia is their designated victim. It doesn't work, and Olivia and Holden go into the future happily together. I was frustrated by the limitations of knowledge for the angels described in this book. I was frustrated by the author's need to describe violent sexual contact as a plotting mechanism. I was frustrated by the fact that she still doesn't know the difference between "dominate", a verb, and "dominant", a modifier. There is a plot hanger at the end of the 3rd EasyBake and I don't know if I'm still interested enough to read more of Ms Schulte's work to buy another in that series. I guess there's a market for her series, and I guess I'm not really fitting the designated reader

This was incredible. I have not enjoyed reading a trilogy this much sent reading the Hunger Games & Nora Roberts Cousins O'Dwyer trilogies. Liz Schulte has been added to my all time favorite authors list. This trilogy had suspense, action, romance, mystery, drama, comedy and paranormal all rolled up in 3 books that were incredible stories. Her characters you feel you know personally and the best part is she brings them into her other series. Holden & Olivia I met in the Easy Bake Coven series that I read prior to this series and I was concerned about going out of order & reading this one knowing the outcome. But I was so absorbed by Liz Schulte's storytelling that I completing became so focused on what was going to happen next that I questioned what I thought I knew before I began reading this trilogy. A must read!!!!

In my opinion this is the best book in the trilogy! Love the characters and how they get out of trouble. Needed a "box of Kleenex" at one point as it got pretty emotional. Really wish the author would revised the book for some spell check which will enhance the reading experience. The relationship of the main characters is great and not cheesy as they are very strong and complement each other very well, the romance level is good with lots of action.

A grand trilogy. To many surprises to count but you will love every last one of them. If you're considering buying this book you should have already read the other two so you know Miss Liz Schulte if you haven't back up and buy the first two. What a great rollercoaster ride this is, hang on tight and see me on the other side.

I read this trilogy because the Easy Bake Coven trilogy sparked my interest in the relationship between Olivia and Holden (they are secondary characters in that series). The whole series could really use some HEAVY proof-reading/editing, but the story is somewhere between interesting and compelling. The primary characters have both flaws and strengths, and the secondary characters are intriguing. I'll keep reading this author's stuff. I'm waiting for the Jinn Trilogy so I can see where the author takes the characters from the Abyss.

I got book 1 free on Amazon and was hooked immediately. Bought book 2 and 3 together and read them over one weekend. Just wanted to find out how it ended. I didnt just love the two main characters but also Femi and Baker (and at a push I would admit to Quintus too). Happy that I found this series when all 3 books were published but I find myself wishing the story didnt end there. Would love another part to see how things worked out for Femi and Baker - there has to be a good story there too..... Anyway, a unique story, well told - I really enjoyed the 3 books!!

This was a wonderful book. Love this author, but like a have with every other book I have read by her, I must dock a star for grammar. There are so many confusing sentences because of added or missing words. This is a great ending to the trilogy and is a great set up for her next series about Olivia and holden. The only other negative I have about this book is that is was a little less easy to read than other books I have read buy Liz. It wasn't unbearable, just not as smooth. But I love the characters and I can't wait to continue on with them.
