Overall, what this book nudges its readers to do is to analyze reality (both history and current events) from a conspiratorial perspective and subsequently take action. This conspiratorial view does not mean you read media with a tin-foil hat on; rather, it means coming to appreciate the grand conspiracy that lies behind all others: the satanic conspiracy to overthrow the kingdom of God. This satanic conspiracy began in the Garden of Eden where the serpent recruited human beings into a campaign of rebellion against God. Essentially, every conspiracy since then has operated under the same premise: that we don’t need God, that man can do better than God, and that man can save man. “Man saving man” tends appear humanitarian on the outside but on the inside, it's merely a power grab. In modernity, said conspiracies constitute the incremental steps toward a “New World Order” in which society is revamped from the bottom-up and a culture based on the truth of God and constitutional principles are slowly dissolved.
Speaking strictly from the standpoint of political philosophy, this book will certainly help the average reader to have greater discernment in making sense of the world around them. On the other hand, it is when the author refers back to Bible passages that his message becomes skewed because it is not clear when he is performing exegesis to tell us what the Scriptures say or merely using Scripture to make a political point.
Regardless, this quick text is worth the read even if the context in which it was written was a world away (mid-1980s Cold War America). If for nothing else, it will wake up Christians who have fallen asleep at the figurative wheel to realize that what they read in the pages of Scripture are as real and are more relevant now than they have ever been. In the end, nothing can usurp God so it is not man’s job to dismantle man’s conspiracies. The believer looks to the crowned King (Jesus) whose throne is already established forever.
