Struggling and persistently fighting against family put-downs and abuse of every kind, turned Dale Fiegland into a gun-toting, knife-wielding Mafia runner addicted to alcohol and drugs-the kind of man God loves to get ahold of and change. Editorial Reviews
Review
Told in a voice that is clear and engaging, albeit compassionate, this book is a testimony of God's love and the power of that love. The authors are not preachy, but in a style that is conversational, they unveil the power of God's love to readers with the testimony of one sinner. It pulls the reader in and compels them to think about their personal relationship with God, showing them the inscrutable ways of God's loving-kindness." ~ReadersFavorite.com by Jose Cornelio
"Fiegland chronicles his unlikely transformation from Mafia associate to pastor in this brisk, stimulating fusion of memoir, self-help, and evangelism. Fiegland, now in his 70s, writes that his hardscrabble childhood--he grew up in a dysfunctional Cleveland family, was sexually abused, and by 15 was living on his own above a strip club (where he supplemented his income by working for the Mafia)--contributed to his becoming a drug addict by age 18. In his mid-20s, while he was serving as a Mafia runner and enforcer, the premature birth of his son spurred a three-day drinking binge, after which he turned to God for help. Fiegland's candid, inspiring journey of healing will resonate with anyone struggling with addiction or those trying to help them." ~Publishers Weekly
About the Author
Raised in northern Ohio, Dale Fiegland graduated from Anderson College, taught in the inner-city schools of Cleveland, and attained success in business before he joined the ministry. He earned a master of arts degree in counseling from Liberty University and was the counseling pastor for twenty-five years at Riverside Church in Fort Myers, Florida. Dale, who holds the title of pastor emeritus, maintains an active counseling practice, specializing in assisting those dealing with drug or alcohol addictions or various forms of abuse. Numerous churches have sought his help as a consultant in handling difficult matters.
Robbi Cary is the author and publisher of two books. Her first one, a heartwarming gift book, No Matter What, It's a Good Day When: Finding Blessings in Difficult Days, includes encouraging prose; short Scriptures; and the delightful, full-color photography of Patricia Hunter. This small hardback book offers comfort and inspires us to live well in all circumstances by seeking God, trusting His goodness, and persevering in faith. Robbi wrote the book after experiencing God's very real help in painful struggles in her life, and then realizing there was a great need for small uplifting gift books. Best-selling authors Ann Voskamp (One Thousand Gifts), Patsy Clairmont (God Uses Cracked Pots), and Beth K. Vogt (Mommy Come Lately) heartily endorsed the book. Robbi coauthored her second book, a memoir, Conspiracy of Grace: A Wild Tale of Transformation, with Dale Fiegland. As a child, Dale experienced physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. The pain from these experiences drove him to fight and protect himself every way he could, turning him into a gun-toting, knife-wielding, alcoholic Mafia runner and enforcer. While God had pursued him for years, Dale resisted. When Dale finally surrendered and asked the Lord for His help, miracles began to happen that can only be called a Conspiracy of Grace. Robbi enjoys helping others discover God's goodness, power, proof, and surprises; learn about and develop their God-given gifts; and encourage those she can in their writing. Robbi and her husband, Keith, a soon-to-be retired circuit judge, have been married for thirty-six years. They live on a ranch in sunny southwest Florida and enjoy their four grown sons and two wonderful daughters-in-law. --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

About the authors
Robbi Cary is the author, or coauthor, of three uniquely different books that all offer inspiration and encouragement for life and knowing God better.
- No Matter What, It’s a Good Day When: Finding Blessings in Difficult Days is a heartwarming, small, hardcover gift book with encouraging prose, powerful promises from God, and engaging, full-color photographs by Patricia Hunter. This delightful book provides encouragement for all kinds of days and situations. We are reminded to seek God and His goodness and help; live well; and persevere in faith.
Hearty endorsements include praise from best-selling authors Ann Voskamp (One Thousand Gifts), Patsy Clairmont (God Uses Cracked Pots), and Beth K. Vogt (Mommy Come Lately). The book makes a great gift when you want more than a card to say, “I love you and I care.”
- Conspiracy of Grace: A Wild Tale of Transformation is the engaging memoir of Dale Fiegland, which Robbi helped to coauthor.
Fighting against persistent, family, verbal put-downs, physical abuse, and sexual abuse, Dale became a gun-toting, knife-wielding, Mafia runner addicted to alcohol and drugs. While God had pursued him for years, Dale resisted. When Dale finally asked God for help, miracles began to happen that can only be called a Conspiracy of Grace.
This winsome, true story, touched with humor, is shared in plainspoken style by a pastor/counselor unlike any you may have met. It’s an exciting and riveting example of how God works in a person’s life, regardless of the circumstances. Conspiracy of Grace will engage and inspire you and may challenge some of your ideas about God and faith. It is a captivating book with photos, appendixes, and resources.
- Discover God’s Blessings: A One-Year Bible Reading Plan and Devotional is Robbi’s third book. Growing in understanding the Bible brings us many benefits. We are able to know God (and His goodness and help); understand His plans and purposes; receive power and guidance to live well; and experience His blessings. Reading it is a valuable endeavor, and yet it can seem difficult to persevere and read all of Scripture. This book has helped thousands of people do just that.
Originally published as The Best of Bible Pathway (1993 edition) and authored by Dr. John Hash, this book, along with the Bible, so strengthened Robbi Cary in her spiritual life and growth that she received permission to update and reprint it. While it will help you read straight through the Bible in a year, it’s more than a reading plan. You’ll find yourself looking forward to spending time with God and to your next day’s discovery of powerful truth and grace.
Robbi enjoys helping others to discover God’s goodness, proof, power, and blessings; learn about and develop their God-given talents; and encourage would-be writers. In addition, Robbi loves spending time with her husband, Keith, on their small cattle ranch in sunny, southwest Florida. She quips, “If I didn’t write so much, I would learn to ride a horse and be able to one day ride with the cowboys when they round up calves on our old family ranch. Maybe after the next book I’ll learn to ride, unless I am on a movie set seeing my book, Conspiracy of Grace, being made into a movie! Then it might take a bit longer. (Yes, Conspiracy of Grace, an incredible, true story, is that good!)” Robbi’s website is https://www.LivetheGoodNews.com.

Dale shares his true life story in this powerful, emotional read in which he is constantly faced with God’s grace and constantly denying that grace. From a young boy to a grown man, Dale has done things, seen things, and conquered things that should have landed him all alone, behind bars or even dead. And all that time, God was with him, just like He is with you and I. Always. And He is always putting people in our lives to help us overcome the battles, the struggles, the lives we live. Just like He did in Dale’s life. Sending him mentors, teachers, family and friends that will all have very impactful meaning to his life. And even saving his life. Dale found out through hard paths, the wrong crowds and through his stubborn ways just how great God’s grace is. Taking courage, strength and his love for God, seeking forgiveness, and telling his story to help another heart in this world become another child of our one true King.
Finding the words to describe the emotional pulls of Dale’s story...wow! An amazing grace he is!!! I never stopped and realized that struggles such as this is real and people do lead those lives. This book was an eye opener for me and my heart goes out to everyone dealing with these struggles even today and to Dale for his courage and love he had to become the man he is today.
