I really enjoyed Annree's story. She was definitely a disaster. I wondered if she would get herself together or not & just how bad she was going to screw things up. I was disappointed at the end, however, because I felt like the ending was rushed, that the author just decided to quit telling her story. All in all this is a good read & I'm glad I didn't pass it up!
The prose was like painting with words, I could picture each scene like it was a movie inside my own head. And the cast of characters... they felt like my own eclectic circle of women by the time I was done. I won't even throw out there how this book made me want to move to Ireland, because that would make me look silly, but I'm definitely a better person for having read it. And that's the hallmark of a great book, isn't it? Taking something profound away from it as you move forward.
Don't let the cover fool you, it's not a dark read really. More of a witty redemption story that follows Annree around the globe as she seeks to chart her own course .
